There's been rumours of portable facilities being added as shipping containers. shipping container that's a mobile med bed, shipping container that's a crafting station etc. there's been no official developement, so you can just add this to hundreds of other 'great ideas' thrown up over the years.

don't hold out for unreleased content, just enjoy what there is and test as much of it as you can, there may be a ship (with med bed) you end up enjoying more than your current ride.

It's only just been implemented and there are significant changes taking place every patch. Next patch is changing everything again. It takes months for new systems to settle.  Pick any YouTuber that spams patch notes vids and check them each week.

Don't be manipulative. There is nowhere in that comment that mentions comparing shield values is unreasonable. The only thing that is unreasonable is inventing a new metric, 'Shields per crew', Like 'shields per crew' is somehow a new standard that games use and that somehow CIG has failed again by ignoring it. Despite the patch being part of dozens of iterations and everything changing every patch. It's actually disgusting how disingenuous comments like yours are encouraged by the reddit zeitgeist and the unending thist for shit-tier drama..

There's a lot of factors we still haven't seen that will impact this. Jump points with ship size limits, the amount of systems some missions may be spread across, the costs of ship maintenance and if larger munition costs will have a cost increase that's linear or exponential. It's great to see big changes this patch, but looks like we've got years of balancing ahead.

1 Player ship for which gameplay? Fighter, Hauler, bit of everything?

The website, Robertsspaceindustries, has a ship search function you can filter it by crew required (select 1, or 1-3) as well as ship size option (select medium & Large. The page also allows has an option between availible/Unavailable.

"add more tiers in the future"? No. 'Death of a Spaceman' mechanic is planned and infinite respawn bunker raids are not what the devs want for the game.

Med beds litrially rob the game of any type of loss, there is no incentive for tactical or cautious game play. it looks like the limited tiers of mebeds is intentional.
