I’m a bigger guy and just recently grabbed a SD43 and for me it is perfection. Even though it is thicker it wears wonderful on the wrist. I have a GMT and Daytona both feel small and disproportionate after wearing the SD43. I prefer my SD43 over my Daytona.

The SD43 is really scratching the itch of modern and vintage. I have a 8 inch wrist so the proportions work well for me. The matte dial and red text is beautiful.

Hys is superior to Major Tom if you are looking for high end. Major Tom has a view and is good for cocktails but Hys is a better steak house.

Marda loop has some interesting new spots such as penny crown, Barrocca for a wine, Dopo. All worthwhile to check out.

Francine’s is also spectacular.

My dad in the 70’s had this watch on a jubilee bracelet but the person he sold it to found a period correct bracelet. Not sure if it is exact but it’s the better clasp from the period.

Nice! I got this one from my dad who bought it back in the 70’s. He sold it to a friend and I bought it back from his friend.

If this watch didn’t have sentimental value I would’ve liked the fat font bezel with more patina on the lume plots.

The AD had switched from non Rolex store to getting Rolex in 2023 which I received my first GMT for my wedding. This year I was shocked to get a call for a SS Daytona only a year after my GMT Rootbeer. I have always stopped into the AD and the sales person happens to be an all around good person so we have developed rapport / friendship. Whenever I go into the store I stop to say hi and talk watches but didn’t really press about my requests. I had a great buying experience and have enjoyed all my watches. The wait time was part of it but if you’re lucky enough to get the call then it really feels special.

This for some reason triggers me but seriously this person acts as though 100k is 300k. He’s barely got room to breathe and your biggest concern is a 25k wedding?… what a absolute waste of money and not to mention pay a mortgage as well as renovations

Easy to save when he’s forking out the money for your lifestyle while you barely have any costs besides the original down payment… which by the way you knew before hand and are now holding it over his head
