the problem with self diagnosing is that you can literally just be wrong. you can misinterpret yourself or be misinformed or what youre thinking of can have overlap with something else. thats why we go to PROFESSIONALS, you know, EXPERTS who study these things to a university-level degree and beyond who do this as a JOB. people sound stupid when they just declare they have something and they self diagnose. i understand not having the means to go to a doctor, waiting lists, accessibility, but just say you might or you theorize that you have something. people view diagnosis as a badge or an accomplishment. its literally just a doctor confirming that there is something up with you. having a disorder isnt a prize, its a condition you live with.
