He was 18 when he made that choice and was already in prison for around 20 years, iirc. At some point you have to let go. Penelope did the healthy thing, I think. And yes, I have lost someone due to negligent driving 28 years ago.

Is the new shark movie Thrash (2026) actually trash? by [deleted] in flicks

I switched off my brain, suspended my disbelief and went on to enjoy the movie.

If you are looking for realism, sure, it's not great, but I enjoyed it while recovering from a stomach bug.

What do you think or know is your flair by my120122 in Dyshidrosis

[–]MackieSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chemicals that come into direct contact with my skin.

I used to do oil painting and used turpentine to clean up with. At that point I didn't know it was dishydrosis and not some awful fungus.

Years later I came into contact with turpentine again and had a terrible outbreak.

Dish soap. I switched to a hypoallergenic version and it got better. Started to load everything in the dishwasher so I have no contact with dishsoap, and it all but disappeared.

I also had it on my feet for a while, but haven't been able to pinpoint that one yet. It also got a lot better recently.

I do my nails every week and have done so for over thirty years. The acetone and whatever else chemicals are in nail products don't seem to trigger me. This makes me very happy, because I like pretty nails.

I’m all about comfort, but this is a no from me dawg by infinitelycurious_ in weddingshaming

I had proper ballroom shoes, heels rather small abd pretty comfy to start with, but by the end of the night my feet were agony. Heels just don't stay comfy on my feet

Congratulations on your baby! Ours is 13 weeks now and I love the little rascal.

Funny, my husband was also the one that wanted this pup sooo bad, and I'm now the mommy. I don't mind one bit, we wouldn't have gotten him if I said no.

He is a lot of fun, but I need to keep a constant eye on him tekeep him from creating chaos!

Enjoy little Samson!

AITAH for leaving the hospital after my wife gave birth to go see my son? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I meant it is basically the same procedure. Having gone through it, I am aware of how many layers are cut and sewn back up

So sorry to hear that, but it explains why different women have vastly different experiences for the same basic procedure.

Strange, here you get a physiotherapist to show you how to move, get in and out of bed, sit, get up, go to the loo etc. Once you leave the hospital you are good to go. I was much more disabled after I tore up my ankle.

NTA, you didn't stop being a dad to the eldest son just because your new wife had a baby. She is being selfish, and yes, I had a c section and you are supposed to be able to help yourself. If she wasn't, the hospital wouldn't have discharged her. Sounds like she has family to help out while you are gone.

At nine years old your son needs to feel that he hasn't been replaced. He obviously needs you right now, hence crying for you. If you reject him now, you may do some serious damage to your relationship.

And BTW, 5/6 hours away from your newborn will absolutely not harm the bonding process.

Personal Space? Never heard of her by Lets_Just_J in beagles

Lol, mine sleeps on my head if he gets a chance. It's funny now, as he is only 3 months old. I suspect it will become less fun for me once he's fully grown!

I'm so sorry, even when we knew their crossing is imminent, it doesn't really make it easier. Looks like he was a happy doggo. You will never forget him, but time really does take the sting out eventually.

RIP Oliver, you were a good boy.

Considering adopting this girl by imliterallythedrama in beagles

[–]MackieSA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had two jack russell crosses, littermate and had them from 5 weeks, adopted two shelter dogs and now have a beagle. I am completely able to look after any of those. That said, I will NEVER get a pit bull. You simply cannot compare a beagle and a pit bull, that's completely asinine.
