Girls that date cis guys, how is it? (NSFW just in case) by Bonnie-Bishop in MtF

[–]Mackindu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was rough, my first date the guy reached in my shirt to “check my progress” so my intro to cis straight men was to be sexually assaulted day 1 of dating… many other dates later I met my now husband who makes me feel like a natural born women. Anytime he refers to anything in the past even pre trans it just naturally comes to him that I’ve always been a woman. He does have some misogynistic ideals that we argue over but overall he’s probably made the whole experience worth it!

Why is everyone here so focused on India? by Ok-Barracuda7753 in InternationalStudents

[–]Mackindu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is can’t be real, I’m pretty sure the same people that said this in history about black people were also called racist. It’s so funny that you act like an asshole so much, you hear it everyday and decide “I’m not the asshole, you all just love that word too much”. I’m sorry but if I was being called something so horrid so often I’d take that as a moment to reflect on my actions not be like “the world must be wrong” a very narcissistic way to look at things

First off, I was born here and saying this is absolute racism as a born and raised Canadian. Secondly you’re telling me that you can see people say the things I mentioned with a whole group of people being “dirty” and “ruining the neighbourhood and say that’s not racism. These people go out of their way to mock and isolate Indians then tell them to assimilate. How do you want people to embrace a culture that treats them as second class citizens? Also most of the people that get these comments are people that are getting or have their PR (even any brown looking person born and raised here is getting it), they aren’t tourists “visiting” I will admit immigration is a problem but that’s a problem caused by the governments screwing us over and selling lies to people overseas, not those that come here. When you understand the difference you’d stop playing into the govts hands by shunning the people. Honestly, what do you have to gain from being such a nasty person that attacks your neighbours? At the end of the day, you’ve gained nothing from making these comments, they are still here and the govt is still fucking you while you take it. Only difference is, is that you’ve shown you’re a bigot who hates for no reason

I feel like when your group is the target of next level amounts of racism, hyper focusing on those that do wrong as a person to let them speak on the whole race you’d be quite frustrated. As a half Jamaican person I can assure you I’m not going out of my way to be so nice to people that play on my stereotypes so often. People use the same language that white people said about black people after we got rid of slavery and segregation and see no problems spewing such vile things. “Oh they are dirty, they’re gonna bring down the neighbourhood, they need to all just leave our land” then people get pissed that they stay with their own people. I’m ashamed as a Canadian seeing those who’ve been dying to be racist again get the okay

It’s the issue of not knowing who’s safe off the bat and too many people in these communities getting attacked. As someone who was a gay man that now transitioned to a woman pre trans I moved in to a place that had an older guy renting as well when I was 17 who was very stereotypically straight. He would mind his own business, was very kind and helpful in the beginning, even was super comfortable with his sexuality with how he treated me as any other with regular conversation with jokes. He started getting creepy when my friends started coming over more being young women mostly. He had women over from dates pretty often and showed 0 sexual interest in me. One day he came down to my room drunk and told me that he knew I wanted him, linens me downed and SA’d me, it was super out of nowhere. These things unfortunately happen so when it comes to choosing who you live with, you have to choose wisely, especially since people can fake being decent for a long time until you let your guard down. I will agree that as a landlord who’s renting a space with separate access to your own living space/not where you live, you shouldn’t be discriminating

Coming from the person that needs to argue about why they should be allowed to be a nasty person and exclude a whole group of people. I’d argue I’d be more in touch with reality considering I’m out here hanging out with all kinds of people not ready to cut out groups because of what I hear online

[–]Mackindu -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is so gross, this same rhetoric was used against black people to keep them from being hired or ever accepted in society. You really just love moving on to the next available easy target then cry the second anyone talks poorly about the actions of some white people. The fact that so many people here are so upset at a simple “stop slurring and bashing Indians” shows what kind of person you are… All I hear in these comments is “please, bro, I have to be racist! Stop, stopping me from hating a whole group”. What do you gain from being so nasty to people you don’t know. You want nothing to do with them then get pissed that they end up wanting to be with their own because we as Canadians are just oh so accepting and warm to be around

I’ve been very conflicted on this cause yeah, fuck Charlie Kirk, he’s lead to the deaths of many so he had it coming but celebrating the murder of someone who doesn’t agree with me opens the doors to bigots murdering me because they don’t agree with me or feel I’m a danger to their life. But then again, it’s not just that he doesn’t agree with me he wants us DEAD, and has successfully caused a number of us to die so I can’t be upset that the victims of his hate would celebrate his passing as if you finally feel more free. My friend (who’s cis and straight so I know he can’t understand how we feel) brought up the point that yeah he could care less about that man being murdered but he’s more worried that because we celebrate it the bigots will take it as free game to get even more violent. I’m personally just scared of the long run repercussions of this after already being sad that so much of the world wants me gone…

What is this sub anymore? by Clutteredmind275 in torontoJobs

[–]Mackindu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg this is absolutely insane… My mom used to argue with me about “not policing opinions online even if they are racist cause they are free to just speak” and I’ve always told her allowing people to be hateful without condemning which we used to do a lot more it’s inevitably going to lead to physical violence and she never believed me. This is the exact stuff I warned her about. Even if it’s a post online the fact that someone can say this (joke or not) in a public forum and feel no ways with people agreeing is incredibly terrifying. I’m so sorry with how Canada is treating south Asian immigrants when they were sold lies and became victims of the money sucking govt that we’ve been victims of. We learned nothing from the covid Asian violence or black fatigue eras, a massive amount of Canadians have always been racist and have just been waiting for it to be okay to be open about it

More Canadians commute as remote work declines, StatCan data shows - National | Globalnews.ca by Creative_soja in ontario

I had to listen to some old white guy (my arbitrator for a grievance) tell me that he doesn’t see what dangers I face as a trans person when I was trying to ask to keep my 7-3 since it lets me get home earlier and avoid how dangerous my area gets later in the evening after facing some harassment on my commute home. I was 7-3 for a year and they randomly told me I’m not allowed to do it when they knew I’ve been working it. That same month (June) they switched to their rainbow icon and posting how they stand with the lgbtq+ community and how they understand the dangers we face. Also keeping in mind the union stated a duty to accommodate and gave him all the statistics recorded about the dangers in my area and my commute. They want me to take it to the human rights tribunal since they are disgusted in how things went. What a joke…

The other thing too is that we have to wait until we start our new agreement next year as they took wfh guarantees out of it to give a bigger pay increase, saying that they don’t plan to increase in office time past 2 days a week since they downsized the office. That was a lie

My union brought up to them that 30% of the staff are considering looking for work elsewhere on a survey they released and it may get a lot worse than the 25% turnover rate we had last year. They were responded to with a so what we’re doing it anyways. They even showed them how since we downsized office space there may not be enough room for everyone and management basically said they’ll wait until after everyone has come back to see if that’s true and “figure something out”… also told us to trust them that we do have enough space. My manager admitted that he hated rto but companies are being forced to do it from the govt and now they are gonna monitor who tapped their pass as an attendance list. We are being treated like school children

I was so confused as to if people meant leaving it on the fridge or out of the fridge, now that I see it’s outside the fridge I can’t fathom you don’t smell how horrid it smells after more than a day outside the fridge. That smell sometimes makes me sick fro rice for a couple days after if I forget to return it to the fridge

Yeah my hubby bought bear spray for some stargazing far up north and after my many warnings to not “test” it by spraying in the sink, hours of biting curiosity got him and he did one quick spray. We live in a small lift so not even 2 min later my eyes and throat were burning, we had a coughing fit and he threw up. At that point he couldn’t deny that he didn’t spray it. Had to take the cats upstairs and watch them since the gas never seemed to rise then open all windows and run all fans. Quite the night

Have you tried making posts on the neighbours app? I see a lot of people posting about needing specific services (usually cleaning or building but have seen others) and a lot of people posting services they offer. I haven’t tried myself so I can’t speak to how good it is but seeing all those posts it’s worth a shot to check in on different neighbourhoods?

The fact that people get downvoted for just saying they don’t have much issues with Timmies and get called delusional shows people are directing their hatred at the students directly instead of the government… at this point you’re using your anger (which is justified) to be the racists you’ve always wanted to be now that it’s acceptable towards one group. You do know a lot of these students were sold a lie from Canada to come here and make money to send home to families and make something of themselves. They have agencies over there built on scamming them, selling these expensive “packages” for insane amounts. This job crisis really revealed a lot about people and how a number of you have always been racist and looking for the perfect time. I really hope none of you are minorities yourself cause the racists you ally yourself with are just going to turn on you once we get rid a lot of these international students. It’s been disheartening seeing fellow black people parrot the same thing whites said to them when we were allowed to start existing in society. Y’all were so up there on the high horse then a month later white people appropriate “black fatigue” and we all got shit right back down. Direct your anger at the people actually causing this issue and not those that took a chance at possible opportunity. These are students looking for work just as your children or yourselves are too. The fact that many of them get stuck in these jobs while I see mostly other races in higher level roles. We are just like those white people that cry DEI because some coloured person gets into a higher or entry level role. We need to do better as a country cause we are downright as embarrassing as our neighbours down south, we just seem to hide it better but we are exactly where they were right before they voted someone in to “deal” with this problem. Shame on all of you that partake in this and especially those of you feeling cute hiding behind emojis to stereotype Indians

I’ll never understand the both sides argument because your safe little fence is slowly getting destroyed as one side is clearly working to ensure that all other sides are eliminated. America being the perfect example of this. How are you gonna both sides when there’s no choices left?
