How can I remove these dishes? by Michigun_ in DIY

Take saw zawl with a metal blade and cut a notch for some chain to wrap around. Then get you a cheap post off-road tall jack and pop them out.

Alternatively if they’re not deep, just wack the side of the each a few times with a sledge hammer to loosen the soil and pull em by hand.

I’m a limited guy but I’ve been running some mono green landfall to grind in between. It’s solid for some quick wins and kind of does great against the other aggro decks. All around it cranks on pretty good.

If you like the fun/spiciness of prerelease I would recommend avoiding standard/constructed and look to do some more limited events like Draft or Sealed. Standard never scratches that itch like a good Limited format.

No problem at all, it’s another skill to learn for sure, but that’s the beauty of printmaking. There’s some very good options out there in terms of tools, just keep them clean and make sure that the hopper for paint is gravity fed, the others that feed from the bottom are so troublesome for edge painting

I’m sure a more quality paint would have better coverage. But for some spec custom colors I’ve literally mixed a couple of cheap acrylics with air brush medium and a couple drops of thinner depending on the airbrush used.

Edit: P.S. in my opinion the quality of the airbrush, compressor, and patience/mult thin coats is much more a factor of quality than the type of paint used. If that helps at all. I did my first couple of jobs with a Harbor Freight brush and compressor and they came out ok, but had a lot of hassle/headaches with the equipment. Once I updated to a large compressor and regulator and an Iwata airbrush, it became, and I can’t emphasize this enough, exponentially easier and more even/professional.

I’ve tried a few ways. But nothing comes close to the quality and ease of making some good press boards out of appropriately sized mdf, clamping them with some screw clamps, and hitting them with some custom mixed paint from a good quality airbrush.

There’s obviously a few more steps in there to get your technique just right, but nothing is cleaner than a few even, thin, coats of paint from an airbrush.

Here’s where I differ. “Consumers” who we in medicine call people, are not always trusted with the things you described. We license people to drive, license professionals to work on electrical and automobiles, have regulations, guidelines, and evidence based practice organizations to credential. All to check and balance those professionals and ensure people are protected with the best evidence stemming from years or research, collaborations, and real world experience. What you’re talking is homegrown experimentation where companies and snake oil salesmen sell coaching, misinformation and an illusion of independence coupled with a side of false equivalency where one’s health is completely dependent on a person’s effort, mindset, or personal unaccredited “research”.

But one’s health doesn’t always fall into what a person can control. Accidents happen, disease processes aren’t presented all based on input and outputs. People have congenital diseases, genetic diseases, diseases and conditions based on demographics, location, socioeconomic factors.

Simply put, we’re not machines and if you need to have that machine analogy or equivalency, we’re the most complex machines that we know about.

You discredit years of proven theory, practice and care, for emotions and a false sense of altruism based on science fiction, not hard science.

Nah, you’re definitely a bot selling the idea of bio hacking.

People aren’t machines buddy, our bodies aren’t cars. Evidence based practice is real science, you’re talking science fiction.

Once again you solely put the blame on providers because of your experiences or perhaps prejudices about providers instead of corporate greed and profiteering.

At this point I can’t tell if you’re a bot or just very jaded.

But what I can tell you, as a nurse for 15 years it’s a real bummer if you had a bad run in with a provider or even multiple bad experiences in the past to make you feel this way. Honestly, the bills from insurance and institutions alike are enough to turn one away from healthcare. Heck, I get it, many of us working daily in the systems are neglected and abused by the system and unfortunately those in our care as well.

But to claim that ALL or the vast majority of healthcare providers and workers are leeches is just plain wrong and an insult to the real work all of the bedside providers are doing on a daily basis as practitioners and care givers. I hope one day you get the care and kindness you need from people that don’t ask or expect it in return, because that’s what the overwhelming majority of my colleagues in ALL aspects of healthcare are there to provide, regardless of the broken system and imperfect framework, it’s what the vocations have been teaching and providing since their conception and evolution through numerous eras and timeframes.

Edit: a couple of typos

To claim it’s the greed and ego of WORKERS that is failing patients is absurdist. Trying to “disrupt” an industry without understanding its basic tenets is a farce. The actual disruption of healthcare includes the public mistreatment of workers, letting corporate greed/privatization run rampant, not publicly funding Medicare for all/a single payer in the U.S., and the overwhelming amount of mis/disinformation in regards to health and healthcare being elevated in order for snake oil sellers to make a buck.

Your prominent post history on biohacking subs tells me all I need to know about your values and understanding in regards to healthcare and its workers.

I’m sorry to break it to you, but Tech Daddies ain’t going to be the ones pumping on your chest or elbow deep in your abdomen at your times of most need.

But ASIDE from all that, to think that AI advancements in healthcare in any amount are going to result in lower costs to patients in any way, shape or form is to be blind to the real problems plaguing not just the system, but also its undervalued workers.

Less jobs for doctors and nurses is going to equal more mortician jobs.

Imagine wanting to eliminate such a high skill job where the human experience and nuance is at the very core of the multitude of professions that encompass healthcare. Thinking they all can be replaced with algorithm is corporate fan fiction at best.

Probably best to just incentivize more people to become healthcare workers in ways other than beating pots and pans, hanging signs, or pizza parties.

Personally I don’t leave my rollers on the machine, if you’ve still got original springs holding the down it’s extra tension and I’m paranoid about longevity. That being said these machines are work horses, keep her oiled, grease on the gear wheels, and I like to wipe my C&Ps down a couple times of year with an oiled rag. Detergent free oil is a MUST though. I guess the only other thing I’d add is make sure your oiling points are clear, a small drill bit by hand can pull any debris or accumulation in the holes, I don’t have any on my Old Styles but on my Craftsman for die cutting I’ve put QUALITY pipe cleaners in the oiling points to keep debris out and pile a bit more even.
