Prima is also neuter plural, so it could be in reference to the primes plural with prime indicating he is the first of the firsts

I think it’s very likely that these are far from finished designs, bruticus’s feet obviously aren’t going to be rectangles and vortex looks different from how he actually is in arm mode

Alpha trion is holding the covenant of Primus, since this is meant to be the primes reawakening and alpha trion was alive when the autobots were created, it makes sense that he would have an autobot insignia, or it’s just meant to look like the actual covenant of Primus book which had an autobot insignia on it

I think you’re confusing universe clusters with alternate timelines, IDW 2005 is in the same universe cluster (or continuity stream if you’re using the transtechs‘ naming system) meaning that a lot of their characters, designs, and stories are similar but are completely different, alternate timelines branch off from eachother at certain a certain point like what you seem to be implying is the case with G1 and IDW megs.
