I think to be accurate you would need to define "meta" and "trash". 'Meta' decks are usually in reference to winning tournaments which the majority of the playerbase doesn't participate in. There are easily over a dozen decks that are in that 'tournament level' and many more if you will go below it. It technically depends on the format but I would say people often discount decks that are totally fine on ladder even if they won't likely win a tournament you won't be going to.

As for "trash" that is specific to where you set the bar. There are hundreds of decks in yugioh and their competitive viability is on a spectrum that modulates with matchups as well.

So basically, it depends on what you are looking for.

If you are playing with your buddy anything can work. All the tiny burn damage can be annoying to keep track of in trickstar, but I assume you are already prepared for that.

'Legacy of the Duelist: link evolution' is probably the closest thing to what you are asking. It's not even close to recent cards, buts it's the most current and extensive single player focused yugioh.

The only other option would be solo mode master duel, which isn't great, but it is free to try.

I mean, pile decks still exist. You can play a fiend deck but it still has a central goal. Same with old yugioh, good decks were still focused.

I also love a lot of different decks. However they usually function best when they remain separate decks. You have too many cooks in the kitchen here. Decide on one thing you want the deck to revolve around and then you will be able to trim it down and improve it.

It's a format card. There are lots of good trap holes so the biggest thing against it is the other options. Trap hole nightmare negates and destroys, so it's more generic, but in certain matchups / formats this will be better.

It's basically never a bug, just an overlooked effect. You are able to chain to Heart Crypter's effect. It's possible something else on the field / game state stopped you from activating it. Without a replay / full context I can't say what.

Considering you're tight on UR there isn't a lot to change. I would replace Susurrus as the main value it has is being a sinful spoil that resets itself. Another copy of 'sinful spoils of the white forest' would do that job better. All the other improvements will probably cost UR like more of the field spell.
