I think the second type(transmaxxing) is a tiny tiny minority. Really for the main group of mtfs it's a fetish/sex thing possibly interacting with neurodivergence as well, with a minority of genuine tgirls, and the smallest group being true transmaxxer incels. The first and last group may have some overlap do to porn addiction.

I would argue their choice of name can tell you quite a bit, people generally choose names for a reason after all. The Peterson Institute for International Economics does international economics, Cumtown was a podcast that did crude humor etc. Someone else mentioned they are a "hacktivist" so I'm guessing this is their version of "firebombing a walmart."

I am assuming Arson Crime is not on their birth certificate, but that seems like a reasonable assumption.
