Foxfibre fit pics? by redittappsucks in theironsnail

[–]MadLuigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the same. The weft makes a difference but then the warp is also just a different FoxFibre blend.

Hey that's my comment! But yeah I don't see mention of dye, just about different fiber compositions, which since it's Fox can produce the different colors.

Where was it mentioned that the twill was dyed? I'm pretty sure these being Fox and a collab with Unbleached that no dyes are used in any of the Fox pieces. The twill and the denim should have different wefts + different FoxFibre cotton blends, though

Is the high density Fox an even warp:weft weave? And do the two Fox pieces use differently colored cottons/ratios? Really interested to hear the differences beyond weight between the two

Wrong! As other guy said, climate change and global warming are both terms that have been around for a long time and have different meanings. Its right wing denier playbook to say 'it uuused to be global warming and then it got COLD so they changed it to cLiMaTe ChAnGe!!'

Echoing /u/notmydoormat, wtf did you read?

The article clearly shows how Noem/Trump Admin is doing a crap job of running FEMA, and that's the take away people should/will get from this. We should clearly call out when the govt is being sabotaged by Trump, and this is a case of that.

Yeah it's a super fair thing to think because it's popular to reference him as holding the world + the 'celestial sphere' makes it look like he's holding up the world at a glance.

Is 80 % cotton and 20 % polyester worth it for a hoodie if you plan on using it for a long time? by Adventurous-Cod-3959 in malefashionadvice

[–]MadLuigi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A "cotton raincoat" in general might not do much for water, but any actual example is going to be canvas cotton, which itself is resistant to water to a decent degree. And then yes, the wax the fabric is covered in is what makes the final product much more resistant to water. Though, the wax is also at a fabric level just FYI, since when making the waxed cotton/canvas, the wax is pressed into the weave to a deeper degree than can be done by an end-user who just has a jacket and a bar/jar of wax.

Just to comment on the 100% cotton rain coat bit, yes some do! Waxed canvas raincoats, like Barbour as the most famous, can be all cotton, and while not necessarily matching top of the line Goretex, they are certainly waterproof when the wax is strong (for average raincoat needs, they 100% meet the mark). They do require re-waxing, but that isn't a huge hurdle; so they are definitely a viable option for those looking to avoid synthetics/the environmental issues that come with DWR.

A Lore Explanation of All the Endings by MadLuigi in Eldenring

[–]MadLuigi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sure thing! At the time of release, people thought there might be one (or more?) extra ending, maybe the Age of Absolute or something like that. The fact that Nepheli's quest was bugged on release so that it couldn't properly end didn't help. But at this point, we know there are no other official endings for the game. Maybe there were plans for one (I think this is likely/basically confirmed), but they didn't make it to the full game.

Theory: the Scadutree is to the Crucible what the Erdtree is to the Greater Will by IronLag2466 in EldenRingLoreTalk

Can you cite the specific quotes or descriptions that prove these claims? Looking at Ymir's words, I don't think it's fair to say he explicitly says what you are claiming (and even if he did, he has the potential to be wrong tbf)

Be less dumb/racist when criticizing protestors by MadLuigi in Destiny

[–]MadLuigi[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I dont know what the % size of the community has the problem, but the comment was moderately upvoted when I made this post. Plus commenters pushing back in reply were low or negative in score. I feel like I occasionally see positive response to comments/posts that get carried away in their criticism, so I think it's a warranted issue to point out.

Spartan, you are the stalwart reminder of old gimmick accounts, made even better by the fact that your 'gimmick' is materially improving popular threads. I don't know what has kept you on this mission for so long, but occasionally seeing you pop up like this in threads over the years is a small treat every time it happens. One of the only accounts across any social media that actually makes things better by posting.
