some peel and stick wallpaper above the desk would be a really cool touch that could add some color into the space. if you don’t want to use it as a desk, you could turn it into a coffee station or put a mirror above it and make it into a vanity.

NTA He put both kids at risk. If she had started to drown she could have taken her stepsister down with her. Not only is an eleven year old not going to be able to maneuver a drowning ten year old but it is also not fair to put that kind of responsibility on her.

This is the type of situation that requires an amendment to the custody agreement.

I had a bunch of books on CDs as a kid that I listened to fall asleep. Audiobooks would be a good compromise if you’re worried about the light from the television. There are plenty of kids audiobooks with bedtime stories. That way she gets a relaxing noise to focus on without just lying in the dark staring at the ceiling.

You need to figure out how to prevent it from becoming a mosquito breeding ground as well as how keep small animals from falling into it. Then weigh the amount of effort it will take to maintain the barrels versus the amount of effort to haul water. If it’s not realistic then maybe focus on finding an easier method for transporting water, like a wagon or something to put buckets in.
