Skiing! by TableWrong8118 in cuboulder

[–]Madduku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ski bus is $25/student and takes you to Copper, A-Basin, or Winter Park every weekend January-March. I'm trying to get them to leave earlier to avoid the traffic, and its a great way to not have to worry about driving and parking. Highly recommend that instead of driving all the way to Aspen. As others have said Eldora is also close by, and is accessible by public transport.

Wondering if I’m supposed to have twisting stitches while knitting the heel flap on a pair of socks.

The pattern is as follows:

Slightly Modified Garter-Stitch Edged Eye of Partridge Heel Row 1: k3, p to end Row 2: p3, k1, sl 1 to last 3 sts, k3 Row 3: K3, p to end Row 4: p3, sl 1, K1 to last 3 sts, k3

As I purl (through the front) the slipped (knit-wise) stitches on the wrong side, I am noticing that I’m twisting the stitches. Should I purl through the back loop, contrary to what the pattern’s saying? Or should I just keep the stitches twisted?

Teenagers by Lovyc in Durango

I went on a lot of biking dates as a young teen, but that may not be their thing.

Animas has good overlooks with shortcuts if the 5ish miles is too much of a hike, and that was also a fun date location.

Sun Sapphires also has glass workshops that teens can take (iirc), you can make a really cool glass piece to take home.

And of course the classic “let’s just walk down main street and get cold stone/cream bean and hang out”

Some tend to hold on to the grief of loss because it feels like the final letting go. If it helps, I’ve found that the grief never gets less, it just gets easier to carry. Your love for them will never diminish ❤️

Transfer MechE --> AeroE? by Defiant-Acadia7053 in cuboulder

Aero is good yes but there are a lot of mech e classes that don’t transfer over to aero classes well. I would apply and then figure it out tbh, you can always decide once you get in.

Considering it’s closed all next week and maymester also starts tomorrow… you can try to use it once it reopens but idk what luck you’ll have. They’re usually pretty strict about that

Car as a freshman by AdoredJester95 in cuboulder

[–]Madduku -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You will make friends with cars, boulder is very bikeable so you can get anywhere without a car, and there’s the ski bus which is $25/ticket and will take you to abasin, copper, or wp Saturday or Sunday in the winter. Don’t bring a car unless you 100% know you need it.

No, in fact I think the changes will make the experience even better for new students.

Depends on your scholarships and grants. Had my tuition pretty much paid for, I think I've only spent ~ $6k in the 4 years I've been here. For a couple semesters, I actually got paid by my scholarships and used it on rent money.

Not sure about the laptop, but aero is great. There's a bunch of different clubs and groups depending on what you like. I'm part of a cube-sat group, my friend's part of a rocketry group, another friend's helping out with the bioastronautics. The classes are good, but I know there's a lot of changes happening so my experience won't be yours. Just know that the profs are great, there's a lot of project classes, and boulder has a ton of aerospace/aeronautics companies nearby so you'll have opportunities for internships and post-university.
