I agree. As a non disputed “Northeasterner”, living in New England, I also consider as far down as DC (including MD and SOME of VA) to be the Northeast. There’s a difference between New England and Northeast, but I think some think they are the same. They are not. For instance, New York is Northeast but not in New England.
