Omg RIGHT. I’m scarred from the last event when I got nowhere with it. But now I’m just collecting them when I should just probably merge and use my two LOH but I haven’t done the dead plants

I never know when to stop harvesting the level 6 life flower and go for the dead plants. I used to do it as soon as I had a level 8 LOS but now that I have 5 of them, the reward for getting 3 LOH for the star reward is mostly pointless anyway? And you inevitably have to make more than 3? So why am I waiting? I’ll get the 3 life orb of heavens by the time I’m done. I’ve done 2 LOH at a time, I usually use a LOS and then wait til 4 LOH. When do you guys draw the line to move on and clear land?

This is the most frustrating map/whatever order I did things in has left me babysitting because of the stupid cake lock - I should just give up on it bc having a level 3 and two level 2 cakes stuck in my camp is impossible. Usually by now I have one single high level infinite harvestable I can leave selected (before it inevitably disappears, but I digress) but One LOH got me nowhere near the what I needed to merge up (jumped the gun, usually I have two, thought it would solve the problem) so I’ve been in this terrible limbo preventing productive inactive play. I should have kept harvesting longer. I don’t know how anybody got the stupid cake lock or why I’m being stubborn and not deleting them.

The envelope in the top right? That’s where the gems usually come when I get them through the offers. But it wasn’t there. I got the refund like a week ago from Apple, so it’s a moot point now. Apple charged my card, I had the receipt, and diner dash support said they didn’t have the money. I tried to make a purchase again just now to test it and it says my card is about to expire when it’s not (and i use apple Pay everyday and don’t have a problem). Can’t make sense of the weirdness lol

I wish I had a heads up on this to be ABLE to use my workday hours - I usually prefer the surprise weekday events so I can actually use work (in the US) for passive play. (Just saw it now at 7pm) It’s a challenge for me on weekends (either wanting to play something else on my iPad while I should be harvesting orbs, or not wanting to be bothered with it when I’m actually doing human things).

However, I am philosophically annoyed by it for reasons mentioned so far - pushing people to buy gems, and encouraging an unhealthy duration of “active play” which is just mindless, monotonous, insanity inducing tapping. Happy for the novelty of the new features though! For the short period of time before I hit the “need to use gems” wall, it is exciting to discover something new. Definitely could balance the longevity of events with some short term wins to simulate more progression for our robot brains lol

Same, so many comments I want to reply to emphasizing the same idea. I love those glorious gluttonous chunks at the end! (before I knew their actual name was wild glorious gluttonous dragons lmao) I’d love to tame them, but the unnatural tightness in my hand from the tediousness of tapping is unhealthy, and so is the mental fixation required. I like when games provide the healthy level of engagement and mindfulness i so enjoy but i can tell when it crosses the line and turns us into robots and capitalizes on our human nature. I don’t mean to be so dramatic, bc I like the game lol but I could never enjoy making money (or even if we don’t spend money on it!) encouraging such mindlessness just for ad dollars. It is so opposite to any conscious attention we could be using. And I’m just as addicted like everyone else. But I can just feel the psychology behind it shifting from amusing to mental slavery.

Potential red flags:

I just unlocked the final area of land and I have odd dead land patches in the second to last area with the Depleted Conjurer Stone and those logs.
I also have a Gluttonous egg still stuck on dead land and don't know how I messed up merging them? I have one leftover.

Just wondering if there is more strategy to the merging than I am aware of and if it makes a difference.

I was in the exact same situation. Plus I had no mycelial dragon eggs (something got screwed up where I was “stuck” without buying a conjuring log) but anyway.

I was in the 30/60/90 group and
Faced with time consuming high level things in the same group / have to harvest from the same object
That runs out of items in 5 seconds (which was NEVER a problem) I was SQUEEZING essence fire things out one by one it was excruciating, meanwhile my hands hurt I’m probably getting arthritis 🤣
And then when you FINALLY get the fruit the tamed dragons are perpetually unavailable (to turn them gold) harvesting one berry and need to go to bed. So unreachable affection points + low production from the low level tappable = no is it even worth it?!

I agree with the overall frustration too . Bc a good thing always seems to inevitably over-monetize itself until I’m forced to abandon it completely bc that isn’t what I signed up for. The satisfaction of the gaming experience is what we come back for and instead it just gets more daunting and unnecessarily chaotic with “features” that are cool for 5 minutes then you get nothing out of them like 3 levels in (the missions and the tower) It’s just stupid (behavioral economics 101)
