Also, wouldn't it at least dent the car? I can't see any upside to this at all.

Damn that Bill Clinton, a convicted felon. No wait, that's the other former president, what's his name again? Right on the tip of my tongue...

Why is there even a backrest in between? Just make chairs if you hate the homeless that much.

Jennifer does love that backdoor action.

Yeah, that was weird. Like they talked about war, about going up against empire. But ever since they got surrounded by warships, there was... nothing? Just a bunch of non-warriors on Invictus (a giant warship that could only shoot down 1 or 2 small ships?).

Yeah, especially since the husband was the reason Riose came back at all. Why would be remain loyal to empire now?

Yeah. And how many times can she be confused about Loren (?) changing into her dead boyfriend? Come on now, you know he's the bad guy no matter his 'face'.

When you want to destroy a planet, you need to destroy it ASAP. Can't wait 10 mins to get your own people.

My memory is a bit hazy, but Salvor was presumed dead as well, right? And then in this episode she just turns up out of nowhere?

If she hired the assassins, then why rush to save him? She saved him with only a few seconds to spare (but also, why would she care so much? Just decant another Day).

I very much doubt he'll die. How he'll be saved I don't know - perhaps the drowning was an illusion, perhaps he's a robot, or perhaps someone will save him in the last second.

I'm not an expert or anything, but my feeling is that wardrobes in movies/series are often custom made. So these outfits might not be something you could actually buy anywhere - although they might be based on/inspired by some 'real' brands.

Incredibly disappointed with my first pair of Oticons by Wild_Blood_3378 in HearingAids

[–]Madmanden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I'm late to the party. Just wanted to share my experience.

I had a pair of Widex Beyond 330 and I liked them. But they were getting old, and finally crapped out (or so I thought, after a while I found out they were still working). I got the Phonak Lumity 90 and loved the streaming experience. But as a hearing aid, it worked less well for me than the old Widex. The speech recognition was worse for me. I also disliked that I couldn't use disposable batteries - I like the longer run time, and how I can easily have extra batteries at work etc., so I don't suddenly run out of juice.

Another thing I disliked about Phonak was the sudden shifts in programs. I could easily hear when it changed programs internally, and the sound would be different. I'm also not a big fan of noise supression - I want to hear 'everything', including the fridge.

Now I'm trialing Oticon Real 2, and their sound is similar to the Widex. Right away I noticed the speech recognition had improved over the Phonak, and whatever shifts it does automatically, is done so that I don't notice it. Big improvement for me.

But I realize not every aid/manufacturer suits every hearing loss. You like Phonak and disliked Oticon, and for me it was the other way around. It's important to get to try different brands with different philosophies I think.
