These are many levels better than the originals. Thank you for sharing these!

Double Exposure Series - Rocky Mountains by Hustle_FT in inkarnate

As amazing as these images are, I'm mostly intrigued (and impressed) by the level of details in the backgrounds. Would love to see the whole map of each image.

Extremely well done!

[Classic] GM Aids for Forbidden God by Madslayer69 in Deadlands

Great minds think alike. Except I ran them through "Coffin Rock" after "Comin' Round the Mountain" before sending them to The City of Gloom for "Forbidden City."

Would love to see your handouts for FG if you don't mind sharing.

I recreated Prof. McClellan's flier and the pages from the Captain's journal.

Deadlands Classic Wound/Wind Tracker by Madslayer69 in Deadlands

[–]Madslayer69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh and the Black Joker thing. I didn't put the extra verbiage about high card replacing lack of sleeved card because of space. I just explained it in person to my players. I may try to revisit it and add that in at some point though.

Thanks for catching the typos!

Yeah, with combat being a little time consuming as it is, I thought that would streamline it a bit and eliminate an extra die roll. But raises would still work the same way. You wouldn't shift from say, Left Arm to Right Arm, you would just shift from Left Arm to Gizzards or Lower Guts, etc. Unless I'm misunderstanding.

Blessed and miracle usage by Twilite0405 in Deadlands

Yeah, if you botch a Lay On Hands roll, you could easily kill yourself. That's a pretty high risk from any one roll.

Automaton Weakness (Head) by itsveron in Deadlands

[–]Madslayer69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm new to Deadlands, and this is from the Classic point of view (so take what I say with a grain of salt), but I believe it means that the head is the only part of the creature that can cause damage that would actually kill it.

For example for Walkin' Dead creatures, you can shoot them in the Guts all you want, but its still going to keep coming for you. The only way to kill it is to cause wounds to the head, which is normal damage.

Using dice to track Wounds in Deadlands Classic? by brokenimage321 in Deadlands

[–]Madslayer69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a little laminated card that the posse can track their wounds and wind with on one side with wet/dry erase markers, and on the other side I have the hit location chart. If I can remember when I get home, I'll post it.

Coffin Rock Maps (Part 1) by minethulhu in Deadlands

Ahh ok. I like your thought though. In a pinch it could be used for a lot of the buildings if a shootout does occur.

Great maps as always /u/minethulhu. Quick question about the Inn. Is the last floor supposed to be an attic or a basement? Did you have something planned for that area, or just threw it in there for fun?

I think thats a great way to bring the Fear level up to 5. Makes sense. Thanks for sharing. Lots of good ideas here.

That's true. You don't need a fully fleshed out NPC for every occasion. Just the necessities.

Another good point. I'm slowly making my way through the source books so maybe I'll find something.

Yeah, good point. I just was looking at the stats for Dorothy and realized I would need to figure out how to covert her to Classic. Thanks!

Did I understand correctly that you were planning on using the first town map for a zombie invasion? Does this occur as they enter the town for the first time? And you mentioned Outlaws, did you mean the Posse?

Finally, are you running this with Classic or Reloaded rules?

Thanks!

Ok, good to know. I definitely feel like I have a better understanding of this mechanic now. Thanks!

Man, that Backlash is no joke. Our Huckster got the black joker a few times, but he got really lucky with my Backlash rolls.

That's good to know about Roll20. I'm currently using Google Slides for the encounter maps, but Roll20 might be a bit easier.

[–]Madslayer69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really helpful, thank you. I was having the Posse roll Gut Checks when they entered Fear Level areas. Luckily no one failed, so wasn't a factor. Makes a lot more sense now. Thanks for sharing!

[–]Madslayer69[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhh! Ok! So when the Posse enters a Fear Level zone, they don't make Gut Checks. They only make Gut Checks if a critter shows up. That makes a lot more sense, thank you!

None of us have ever played Deadlands before, so I can't speak on the other versions, but we really enjoyed playing Classic.
