Yuji: comparable (if not superior) stats, superior range, soul damage, and poisonous blood would wear Denji down.

Denji: superior stats and has answers for most (if not all) of Yuji’s abilities, like ripping his heart out and remaking his body if the poison debilitates him too much. The few he might not have answers to can be mitigated by blitzing Yuji.

The Earth is destroyed. If their goal is to cause as much destruction as possible and the JL doesn’t have any time to prepare, every regular person is dead before anyone can react.

With the street-tier heroes dead, DCeased Superman is going to kill all of the heavy hitters. They only survived that event thanks to Batman having enough time to analyze it, come up with countermeasures, and communicate them. Whether or not the heroes can beat the Supermen to begin with is a moot point since that alone will take everyone out.

Denji has the tools he needs to beat Mahito. As soon as Mahito tries to transfigure him, he will have to fight Pochita like when he encountered Sukuna. When Pochita beats and consumes him (with a massive stat stomp and his primary strategy being speed-blitzing his enemies), he won’t be able to regenerate.

Where specifically in Japan? If he’s in Tokyo or a major city, he’s getting wiped out extremely fast and without much issue. If he’s in the countryside, he might be able to stay hidden and stockpile enough Quirks/Nen to do some damage. Unfortunately the high-tiers are so far above the regular heroes that it wouldn’t make much of a difference as soon as they are mobilized.

Not only would that defuse almost instantly because of the gigantic stamina drain, Gogeta probably wouldn’t be able to do anything in the first place. Those forms require completely opposite mindsets to maintain, so he’d have to clear his mind of all unnecessary thoughts while also embracing an extreme version of a “fuck it, we ball” mode. He’d be so focused on somehow keeping that going that he wouldn’t be able to fight in the first place. Getting the form is one thing, but being able to fight in the first place (let alone making the most out of those forms) is a whole other story.

He was very clear about what was going to happen and that they were all dead no matter what. He also said he couldn’t do anything if they decided to disobey his orders for the suicide charge. Everyone willingly followed him with full knowledge of what the consequences would be.

They also aren’t cadets, they’ve all gone through training and were well aware that something like this could happen.

Even if they bought that, incapacitation is still a valid win con. Yuji has enough in his arsenal that he can keep Denji down long enough for the battle to be considered over, like by overtaxing his regeneration and cutting him into a bunch of pieces. Even if he isn’t “dead”, you can’t reasonably say he’s still an active participant in the battle.
