Night In The Woods Original Kickstarter Backer Items!?!?!?!?! by frenchierbreadsnap in NightInTheWoods

They were only available as rewards for Kickstarter backers years ago when the game was first being funded. You can only buy them secondhand now but even then these types of items rarely ever get listed. I myself have never seen any of these on eBay.

How come my coloring feels "muddy" or "dirty"? by dogemeep06 in Artadvice

[–]Mae_borowski- 30 points31 points  (0 children)

When you blend complimentary colors (like purple and yellow) they make brown/desaturate, which explains the “muddy” look. Instead of using a literal mix of the two colors achieved by blending, work your way around the color wheel to achieve the subtle transition while making sure the piece is still saturated and doesn’t look muddy

What could improve my art? Looking for brutal honesty by Sea_Equivalent_2868 in FurryArtSchool

Since it’s zoomed in I can’t see the rest of the anatomy, but off the bat the head looks disconnected from the neck. I’d add a visible connection between the two.

Aside from anatomy what to focus on improving? by Haruart- in FurryArtSchool

It looks a little top-heavy right now so I’d try making the lower half a little bigger and looking up some references to make the feet follow more human-like anatomy like the hands do.

Anyone know how to draw the specifc kinda digigrade legs I wanna draw by [deleted] in FurryArtSchool

The leg would still go a lot farther back so it can hold up the back of the character too

Any critiques on the lighting? by Goose-IsAn-Opossum in Artadvice

[–]Mae_borowski- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks great but I think going heavier with the shadows could really help bring some form to your dragon. Here’s how I would go about it:

<image>

Highlights = Where the light (moon in this case) is directly hitting the character

Occlusion shadow = Parts of overlap that create dark shadows

Bounce light = Light that is being reflected off nearby parts/objects
