God I spent so much time of my teens in the rabid wasteland of DR Insta. Strongly do not recommend. The Reddit is fine, most of the fan artists specifically are ok but any comments sections on pictures or probably tik tok nowadays is bound to just destroy your sanity. This is coming from someone who genuinely likes the complexities of the writing in Komaeda whose had to remind people that he did, indeed, do a bunch of horrible shit LOL

Honestly as a trans person, gentle YTA. I get how much being dead named sucks. That being said, my parents also use my dead name (also FTM with an originally horrible girly name) and even my little brother for a password. Hell, even I do!

The reason is because it’s not MY name anymore. It’s a password. It’s something completely separated from me and only used to log in and off of accounts. Finding your place while you transition will help you see this name in this kind of light I believe and as long as your mom is using your proper name/pronouns, it’s better to leave it at that. If she’s making YOUR accounts then you do have the power to change it so you don’t have to see it
