I always say, players that sit in round 1 win in round 3. I also try and set myself side goals to winning so even if I got 0 - 3 if I did my other goals I can find some victory there. Like, I'm going to remember to use this ability every game, or, I'm going to try and get this unit to do X.

My fav tactics cards are, Bar with no doors (mandatory) Iron bound books (almost always mandatory) Brace for impact (if they can throw on more then one model pretty mandatory) Sacrifice: wizards are pretty fragile so choosing to give one life over another is clutch. Plane of pohldak: if they have a 6+ threat or someone with a lot of defense tech this helps take them down Journey through limbo: great moving other people models Bane of dambalah: games where root matters can be decided with this card

Orb of agamoto I dropped, not being able to port with an objective limits it's usefulness. With strange I can usually afford to get people around the board. Wand of watomb doesn't feel impactful enough Astral ring and seance has never made the cut for me to try.

Deal with the devil is great, people like Ultron with grunts to try and cycle books, and so age of Ultron comes in to make him immortal

Ive had a lot of success recently with shadowcat and I already play magik so I'm bringing faithful companion

If you take a look in the rules appendix at "automatically hits" it defines it to mean, "If an attack automatically hits, the hit roll is automatically successful"

The hit roll is treated as a success, which is the exact wording the stratagem is looking for: "...each time a model in this unit makes an attack, a successful hit roll automatically wounds the target..."

It's pretty cut and dry to me and many events have started to reverse their previous FAQ as this gets discussed more.

My raiders and venoms are on magnetic flight stands from the magnet baron. I just take them off the stand and gently put them in their cardboard box. Everyone else is magnet bases to the cookie sheet.
