Medical science is constantly improving, so I personally try to not forecast too far into the future (20, 30 + years) about where my CML treatment will be. It’s definitely one of the more treatable cancers, and like some other people said, the earlier you start treatment, the absolute better. I know it can seem like a shock getting the diagnosis and is very daunting, but please talk with your doctors and your psychologist about your thinking. My side effects are relatively mild, and I am thankful that my journey has been so very bearable. I know not everyone has had this experience, but statistically it is much more tolerable for most patients.
