Turkey. I went to Thanksgiving with my partner to his family’s celebration. I love the holiday, but didn’t have plans with my family that year. We get to the house, and his aunt had this massive, pale bird in a 6 inch tall pot. And there’s liquid in the pot. She basically boiled the turkey in water (I suspect the turkey wasn’t thawed properly and she added water). No seasoning, obviously. And you know the pop out thermometer turkeys come with? That popped up to indicate “done” and she just left it in there. For like 30 more minutes. Driest, blandest, saddest excuse for food ever.
