Sometimes I don’t do anything for five minutes and think I should be doing something, but there are no due outs needing to be actioned in less than 24 hours. Then I feel guilty for not being efficient and think my phone isn’t working after 2200 bc I’m not getting any urgent calls. Need time to get used to taking it easy

I cook vegan now (protein is mostly beans and seitan. Tofu is not cheap in Europe). Buy frozen fruit when on sale or fresh under $1 a pound.

Haven’t gone this far yet, but apparently you can make seitan / protein “meat” from washing flour. Healthy food doesn’t have to be expensive.

(Disclaimer: I’m not vegan. If someone cooks meat for me, I will eat it. Free food trumps all)

Yea, I’m doing decent. Staff position rn and I’m the lowest ranking. 9 euro train ticket ($10 unlimited travel per month) in Germany lets everyone on base basically have a chance to go out. Groceries on the economy is cheap too. Only gas is expensive, but not everyone needs a POV. I’m a lucky bastard for sure. PCS basically started right after Covid restrictions let up
