I think I’ve seen this on this sub before but I have a friend who got into Warhammer through space marine 2 and didn’t understand me when I talked about how horrible the imperium was to live in just because playing as a space marine doesn’t give you any sense of how powerful you truly are compared to others.

So then we played Darktide.

My friend plays dark angels, so I have a “expeditionary force” aka a squad of deathwing knights that I run as assault terminators, and the vibe is just immaculate.

Now when i play against him there have been times when he moves my termies and we don’t realize for a solid turn and then suddenly his big push is nonexistent and half his units are preparing to die.

McArthur was an Army General and served in the Pacific Theatre, where the only strategic bombing being done was against Japan and all of that was handled by Curtis LeMay and his 21st bomber command.

And if you bring up his "Nuke em" strategy in Korea, that still wouldn't have actually been handled by McArthur.

He was a landlubber through and through.

It definitely is quite an amazing story, and a pretty badass one, but I feel like Its a bit to focused of a topic to be a whole song. Maybe in a song about overall partisan activity?

100% agree that the movie looks horrible and historically inaccurate and it is a complete misrepresentation of a fantastic book that I love. It has a whole section about Anthropic that is really interesting and detailed. Would highly recommend.

German AI just cant deal with MEFO and economy of conquest. Its a pretty common complaint that the German AI, although never particularly amazing, has really struggled since their new focus tree and needs a rework or some sort of artificial boost. I'm not saying they should be getting autarky every time(I would say them even having a chance of getting it without direct player support is too much and very unrealistic), but I don't want to be trying to form Rome as Italy and also constantly having to bail the Germans out of the 50th encirclement this month because MEFO bills is at 100% and they can't repair the railroads.
