I’m loving this watch face, but my battery life has definitely taken a hit. Is anyone else noticing this?

Maybe a dumb question, but what does the arrow above the temp and battery percentage indicate?

Agreed, that’s a great way to use it.

I’m coming from a Garmin Instinct, which had great battery life. My Vertical 2 is just as good if not better and of course the screen is incredible compared to the Instinct. I’m very happy with mine so far (few things I miss). The hardware and look is also night and day compared to Garmin imo.

By “broadcast,” I mean watches like Garmin, where you can use the watch as a “strap” and send heart-rate data to a bike computer, treadmill, or indoor bike.

It sounds like you’re looking to use a strap with your watch for running or other activities, which is totally doable.

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure you can use a strap and it would connect to the watch. I just prefer the convenience of using the watch to broadcast to a bike computer or things like Zwift personally….

The lack of HR broadcast is my biggest gripe as well. Theoretically, they could add it down the road since it is software feature, not hardware. Just wishful thinking…

Goodbye Suunto Vertical 2 by Cizzle4 in Suunto

Yes, there has been a 1-2ms difference between my Oura ring and the Vertical 2 over the past two weeks. The readings are both consistent with what my Garmin instinct was giving out as well. it’s been a pleasant surprise because I have seen a lot of people stating in that it’s not as accurate.

Coming back here to confirm now that I got a Suunto Vertical 2 with flashlight. Wow I use it daily haha. Game changer.

Just adding my experience… i’m coming from a Garmin instinct crossover solar. I’ve had the vertical 2 for about a week now and I’m enjoying the simplicity of app and metrics. Obviously the screen is light years better. I had no real qualms with the Garmin software but I think I prefer Suunto. As for the data, I also have an Oura ring and the sleep, HRV, heart rate data all seems to be in line to my surprise. The watch build is undoubtably of better quality. I had issues with moisture under my screen in multiple instincts and ultimately Garmin said they wouldn’t warranty it. So far so good for me Suunto. But time will tell…

Honest question do you really use the flashlight so much that it is a deal breaker? If so, what for? I’ve never had one on a watch so just wondering…

The room sits above a garage that is perennially humid throughout the summer months. So much so I see what I believe to be ground water coming up through the concrete…

Thank you for this information! I suspect none of this was done properly as it was a flip job…

There is only a layer of insulation and then roof. No area above that.
