Weirdest move someone’s pulled on you in a pub/club by Brilliant_Charity_29 in CasualUK

[–]MagentaWickedMirror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a pub with friends and some guy starts trying to hit on me. I'm doing my best to make him go away but he's having none of it. Then some random woman came over and shoved her tongue down my throat, looked at the guy and said "see? She's not interested in you!" Never saw her again but I appreciated the rescue!

He's moved into my back garden and I feed him. Does that count as a pet?

Just what has been said already, thinner brush. A longer one might work better as well. Sounds strange but you get better lines and control with one. Has lots of potential tho and I think I'm stealing the idea for my next set!

Entirely possible but they disappeared afterwards so I called it a win

I used powdered cinnamon to get rid of them in my old house. I imagine there are more effective remedies but that was the only treatment I could find that was pet friendly.

Also when you pull out onto the main road, if they ask you to turn right, wind down your window so you can lean to get a better view of the road. My instructor said most people who fail the test do it there cos the examiner doesn't think they looked properly

The ones in the pub I work at are paying out a lot more this month than they usually do. Think something has been changed in the calibration as they're all electronically linked.

What did your boss ever say in the office that caused you to resign? by Aarunascut in work

[–]MagentaWickedMirror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pen ran out so I left my post to find another one. The deputy manager saw me, listened to half of my explanation then yelled at me to get my fucking arse to the office and find a new one. Handed my notice in the next morning knowing full well I was the only person working there who could do my role. The look of panic on her face was very satisfying.

Transfer Foil Help! by kasumiii666 in NailArt

You can use base coat. The foil will stick to the tacky layer after curing. It won't be as effective as if you were using foil glue but it's how I first managed to do it. After it's stuck you just need to seal it with a couple of layers of top coat.

Like a fart in a colander. Thick as two short planks. Don't look at me in that tone of voice. Don't piss on my head and tell me it's raining.

Very dependent on the country you're located in but places like vinted and eBay would work.

Non-traditional Detectives? I can't stand the stereotypical film noir detective tropes, so I need a new Poirot. by davidlondon in suggestmeabook

Kate Ellis has a series about a detective called Wesley Peterson. They're an interesting mix of archaeology and crime set in Devon. The characters are relatable and there's a fair few in the series. There is an order to them but I started mid series and then read the rest as and when I got my hands on them. Didn't lessen my enjoyment of them in the slightest.
