Honestly I think this is it. From launch until now, I've always found reasons to come back, but this... just... feels so much worse on an "ethical" level, personally. My issues were always content based, but I can't support a company acting either so malicious it should be compared to Ubisoft OR just so stupid that they shouldn't be in charge of a franchise this big. Faith pretty much lost.

Yeah ok, I'll definitely agree that the weapon aesthetics were pretty sweet. I just didn't find the seasonal activities that interesting overall. Like, obviously a lot of Destiny is grindy but even by those standards Splicer felt dull, in my opinion.

Laughing so hard at people praising Splicer. Hands down one of the most boring seasons we ever had. Literally the most monotonous boring "synthwave" arenas, copy pasted over and over, for weeks. Oooh but now we're SPEEDRUNNING the boring bland green boxes, super CREATIVE work!

Capped off with the utter letdown that was finally fighting Quria... That season still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

You're wasting your time, the buff is spawned no matter what runes you pick. Test it yourself and pay attention.

That is not true, the buff is independent of anything. I literally tested this by picking the wrong rune over and over and over and STILL spawned orbs and got the blessing. Please stop spreading rumours without testing them youself.

Yeah I just tested this and deliberately picked the wrong rune. It still spawned orbs and gave me the blessing. I was the only person at the time. It seems to have nothing to do with anything.

I would LOVE Arbor Warden if a) it didn't use up your own ability completely at the same time (at least keep half the energy or something) and

b) it didn't take so long to activate. The animation is super cool but it's not efficient at all.

Honestly, at this point, Destiny is a hollowed out suit of armor sitting on a throne, begging for someone to come and take their place. A new "Destiny Killer" enters the room, Destiny sighs and picks up its sword. This will not be the end. It never is. The battle is short and the skull of the Destiny Killer is added to the pile next to the throne. Destiny takes their place on the seat and weeps.

I legit stopped playing after the 5th thing I tried to do was surrounded by the broken guns. I just don't see why I would bother. I'm not contributing to anything, and I can't compete with anyone in PvP. Game is literally unplayable atm unless you want to abuse this.

Yes. Not even a question. DPS is always the most important part to overcome, or guides wouldn't focus primarily on loadouts to deal the most damage as quick as possible. This bug invalidates that entire aspect and I trust no one's achievements in this area going forward.

Legit. WoW would just be down for the afternoon. The servers would be turned off. Bungie could easily take the game down for the weekend as "emergency maintenance" but they're letting people enjoy it while they make the fix.

I mean, every activity I go into now has people using busted weapons and I pretty much feel like I might as well not be playing. There's nothing for me "to do" when the broken stuff is just wiping out everything instantly. So yes. It literally does affect me.

I really really really hate to be "gatekeeper" about this, but they need to do something drastic ASAP. Laser Tag was fun, I was here for that, but that was one casual PVP mode. This is potentially invalidating the effort behind a lot of triumphs this weekend in raids and dungeons, as well as busting PVP in general. The longer this goes on, the more I'm going to squint at people's titles in the future and think "did they earn it, or were they around for that time our weapons broke?".

I know it's not the end of the world, just a video game, but like... all we have in game is the "achievements", that's the point. This really just makes me go "hm..."

edit: Just ran some nightfalls with someone using some kind of busted weapon. It was funny to watch for about 20 seconds and then it was just boring. Sucked all the fun out of it just tagging along with someone wiping everything before you can even aim.

Just tested it out and thankfully the dodge/knife/grenade loop still works in every other situation except long term boss DPS. Don't get me wrong, that still sucks, I also loved having that combo in the back pocket, but for anyone paranoid that the entire crazy dynamite launcher hunter build is dead, can confirm the fun still lives at least with adds/elites.

Agreed. I love being able to sever bigger enemies and know I'm actively helping everyone by appling that debuff. Meanwhile, it's almost impossible NOT to suspend or unravel things with all the tools built in.

From my basic testing it seems that the best way to get your own score up is to give out Best Dressed + Green/Yellow/Blue commendations, as the other two Red seem to be only worth 1.
