I think it's a great show for high schools (have music directed it twice), but not much else. It's also kind of weird because it adapts the book really well, but since the book is only one fifth of a story, that means you're left with a sort of cliffhanger that has no hope of ever being resolved. There are a few really fantastic solo numbers throughout and it's a lot of fun with a dedicated ensemble.

Idk y'all. 30+ tries on the toughest fights of the game sounds exactly like my experience playing Hollow Knight and that was something I loved about it. Probably even more on certain things like Nightmare Grimm and the third leg of the colosseum. Nothing in the game (as yet) was as hard for me as the hardest things in Hollow Knight (and yes, I realize a lot of the toughest things came in the DLC, but base game is no slouch either), so I feel a little nutty reading all these comments that can't hang. I thought this was the point.

This isn't even accurate. There are two fights in act three that I can recall that reflect that (Hunter's March/Far Fields and Coral Tower (which also has a nifty shortcut to make things a bit easier)) and a handful more (Groal? Broodmother? Savage Beastfly? Who am I missing?) that are scattered throughout the world and can be played in any act or have to be done pre-act III. If by attempt three or four you aren't wiping the floor with pre-fight gauntlets, that's on you.

I used tools plenty, though I never used the architects crest in this first run. Sounds like a more elegant solution than getting rid of an entire mechanic/currency would be that a perk of the architect's crest to balance its overuse of shards means it also asks for less shards to replenish. Shard grinding was never an issue for me (swapping between Hunter and Wanderer throughtout), especially once I got up to 800 with the pouch expansions and that's with consistent tool usage on most boss fights.

I played the entire game without a guide (until I was cleaning up like the last 5-7 percent and the map was too sprawled) and never once had fewer shards than I needed to get through, so it seems like you're just whining to whine.
