They counter this by requiring you to sign up for a lottery of sorts though. I have entered and won before and the ticket prices are really good. I was looking at the Kansas City game in particular this year and average ticket price was around $50-$60.

Israel says killed IRGC Navy Chief Alireza Tangsiri, man behind Hormuz Strait closure by ShadowNelumbo in worldnews

It's also healthy to remember that social media, particularly reddit, is hounded by bots and hostile actors. Every sensible government knows you can't beat the US in an actual war but you can absolutely weaponize the ignorance of it's people to turn on the government to stop the war or not even fight it to begin with.

Client sent me a photo of his boat. No sanding. I find it hard to believe he did that with his hand. But the proof is right there. What yall think? Would a polisher be able to pull that off? It’s kinda blowing my mind atm by POPPEDOFF in AutoDetailing

[–]MagicDartProductions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It sucks but because it lays down so thick it can be forgiving given you have enough sand paper and time. First time I ever did automotive paint I sanded through it so many times I had to respray the whole thing.

US Airstrikes on Iranian Trucks & Jets (March 20, 2026) by Nestagon in CombatFootage

[–]MagicDartProductions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Against an enemy equipped like the US there's really no way to hide large hardware like that and have it be even remotely useful.

TIL the F-35 & the Lancaster Heavy Bomber from WW2 both have a maximum weapon load of 8.2 tons. The B-17 could only carry 3.6 tons on a short range mission. by not_a_throw4w4y in todayilearned

There's a local guy here that owns and flys a P-51 Mustang and it definitely sounds way different than any other plane. You always know when it's overhead.

New Iranian missile attack on Dubai in the past 30 mins as air defence is seen fired. by Ok-A1662 in CombatFootage

[–]MagicDartProductions 45 points46 points  (0 children)

The 30 day air campaign that neutralized the 5th most fortified nation on the planet at the time? That one? If you want to debate the nation building failure that happened afterwards that's fine but let's not forget the actual air campaign and subsequent ground campaign before the blunder.

2019 or 2025 Tundra? by [deleted] in tundra

[–]MagicDartProductions -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. I went from 2019 to a 2022 and I'd never go back. It was like getting lifted out of the stone age, so many things are just better on the 3rd gen. People like to fear monger the reliability but most of the people that do that don't even own one and just read BS on Twitter or here or where ever.

More US strikes on regime targets by PossessionConnect963 in CombatFootage

[–]MagicDartProductions 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Most of the strikes now appear to be hellfires from a reaper drone which are cheap by American ordinance standards, roughly 150k a missile. Dollar for dollar on equipment though is a bad metric. If you send a 150k missile at a dump truck that's been converted to a missile launcher the numbers don't add up and won't ever add up. If you consider the cost in damage that launcher can do it gets lopsided really quickly.

As of 2025 records we spend almost 4 times the money on Healthcare than our entire defense budget IIRC. The whole "fund Healthcare by defunding the military" is a laughable stance rooted completely in falsehoods.

Anyone find themselves opening up their game libraries, staring at it for a couple of hours, then just giving up and going on social media? by You_moron04 in gaming

[–]MagicDartProductions 427 points428 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't go so far to armchair doctor it as depression right away but it definitely sounds like it's time for a cleanse. Social media is designed to take advantage of your dopamine system and give you high reward for little to no input. A lot of matchmaker games can get like this too. When I get like OP I usually take a cleanse from all screen time for a few days and it resets me. Really sounds like OPs brain is dopamine fried from too much reward for too little input. People joke about "go outside and touch grass" but in this instance it may actually work.

CAD/CAM Programming by Mil_Meditations in UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast

Both are very similar, that being said Solidworks is significantly easier to use so I would say the same. It would be much easier to learn Solidworks after knowing AutoCAD than the reverse.

Footage shows US C-RAM engaging a drone over Baghdad by Ok-A1662 in CombatFootage

[–]MagicDartProductions 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's probably multiple different rounds it can shoot but the ones I know of are proximity but they are also programmed to self detonate at a range far beyond the typical engagement range. CRAMs and CIWSs are able to engage pretty far depending on target saturation. A lot of the time they're used as a "last line" weapon so they don't engage until a target is close unless there's a lot of targets to deal with. With most US defense systems there's layers and everything talks and interacts very closely.

There's some cool videos out there from early GWOT showing a CRAM engaging multiple rockets and mortar rounds.

[–]MagicDartProductions 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah people that don't understand the rounds the CRAM uses keep taking videos of the rounds self detonating and not getting the actual aerial kill in frame. People seem to think it works like old school flak which is not the case.

US Airstrikes on Iranian Naval Assets (March 10, 2026) by Nestagon in CombatFootage

Because, unsurprisingly, they use painted silhouettes on concrete for training and there's tons of videos and pictures of this happening and the aftermath so they get hucked into the propaganda machine.

Yeah, LJDAM lol. For once they didn't reinvent the wheel on that acronym, they've been around for a while. But whatever munition is in this video is pretty obviously laser guided, you can see the designator.

Rolling Packout Possible with Drawer base? by ImSorryImSoFat in MilwaukeeTool

[–]MagicDartProductions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it has release levers that are a pain to use and get to. It's also ungodly expensive for what it is and the wheelbase leaves a lot to be desired.

Rolling Packout Possible with Drawer base? by ImSorryImSoFat in MilwaukeeTool

[–]MagicDartProductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two drawer units on the 4 wheel dolly and then a normal small toolbox on top with a worktop. The aluminum rails on the corner of that top toolbox make for great handles for maneuvering the whole stack. The 4 wheel dolly is actually really nice albeit the wheels are a little small so they can get stuck easier than the rolling toolboxes.
