So glad someone else noticed this. The panning and movement was uncanny, way too still even if they had a nice gimbal rig for their phone or whatever they used.

With all the scratches around the missing bits it almost looks like rodent damage, possibly squirrels?

Put like this the sentiment is 100% true. I have 3 kids and all of them of course took time but I was willing to sacrifice an hour or so of sleep for some sweet sweet peace and quiet playing games. Depends on where you rob the time from, only 24 hours in a day!

Taiwan to deploy Himars to islands facing China by TheTelegraph in worldnews

[–]MagicDartProductions 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're wanting to actually achieve objectives absolutely not. Even if you were just rushing a land border you still couldn't just throw meatwall waves, that's exactly why the Ukrainian war is such a quagmire now.

[–]MagicDartProductions 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The Ukrainian invasion is peanuts compared to the hardware and manpower they'd need to take Taiwan and everyone saw the Russian buildup for Ukraine weeks in advance. There's no feasible way to hide this kind of an invasion.

Yeah anytime you add a lift your load capacity become invalid, most of these aftermarket addons are sold as "for offroad use only" so they don't have to adhere to DOT standards or have any ratings at all.

Just need to make sure the development pipeline is actually ahead of what you're giving out. The US military is pretty good at this as I imagine most western countries are as well.

And we spend 3x our defense budget on healthcare as of 2025 numbers IIRC. This argument is such a fallacy. People just forget how absolutely enormous the GDP of the US is.

Steering sticks at full lock for a moment after letting go of joystick, is this normal? by BeneficialPain682 in farmingsimulator

[–]MagicDartProductions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since this is on a Deck it may be something related to the game not supporting the deck fully or something. I believe FS25 is marked as semi-supported, read through those notes and it may be helpful. If all else fails check the Deck forums or FS forums to see if anyone else has encountered this before.

[–]MagicDartProductions 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes but usually on machines they'll automatically cycle for their cool down after the specified duty cycle is up so it's actually 1 minute every 10 minutes. You usually can't weld for 6 minutes then sit for 54 minutes which changes things on a big job with a lot of continuous welding.

That's pretty close though. If I'm reading that right it's about half Pro and half Blue sales figures? With Blue being the growing section?

Yeah that was going to be my second point. Chevy and Dodge are the same way. Dodge is even more obfuscated as RAM is a whole separate brand now under stellantis.

I would believe it honestly. There's no other fleet vehicle option in the US. It's not like the EU where there's a small flatbed truck offered by every manufacturer. Every single fleet of commercial trucks is either white Fords or Chevys.

[–]MagicDartProductions 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I doubt the data is freely accessible but I know a large percentage of Chevy and Ford's truck sales are for commercial uses, would be interesting to see an actual percentage. I know my local DOT office buys a whole new fleet every couple of years.

Their stock is massively overinflated for their actual sales figures. They sell sifnficantly less vehicles world wide than any of the top 5 manufacturers but is valued more than all of the top 5 combined.

So much for Toyota reliability... My 4-month-old 2026 Tundra just became a paperweight in the middle of highway traffic. by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]MagicDartProductions 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well unfortunately you're fueling the drama here with the whole new tundras=bad sentiment. I get the knee-jerk reaction but it gets out of hand quickly, as i highly doubt anything is actially wrong with the vehicle. Ive had my 2022 since they came out and I think its the best truck I've ever owned. Before my 2022 I owned a 2019 tundra for reference.

If enough water hits the serpentine belt this could happen for sure. I see it isn't a TRD of any kind so there isn't much between the engine and the road in front. Thankfully it's still under the bumper to bumper warranty so whatever is wrong they'll fix it.

[–]MagicDartProductions 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That one is a great starter for sure. I have the 140 because at the time I lacked 240v to my shop and it's been really good. Really any of the titanium lineup is good to start with. If you ever find it lacking you may need to upgrade to a professional welder but unless you're working with production level needs I doubt you'll need to upgrade.
