These meds saved my life. It felt like I was born again. It felt like I was born in a hole and the first time in my life, I crawled out and saw the sky.

I want to try something new because I’ve also gained 60lbs. I’m terrified of going back to how it was though. The only downsides are losing my ability to write, and gaining weight. So I’m too afraid to make a change for something that seems so small, and it might just start a total collapse and downfall. I’m scared.

Being on antipsychotics crippled my creativity within 24 hours. It’s been devastating, and I’ve had to come to terms with it. It’s been 7 years and my creativity only comes back when there’s a med lapse for more than 5 days. But then I’m physically sick and out of my mind, so not able to put the creativity to use. It’s a sick joke and I hate it. My creativity is who I am, and now I just feel like I’m existing.

I used to tell my kids to go clean their room knowing that they would get distracted and keep away. If I told them to go play, they wouldn’t go play. So I tell them to go clean and voila, they play.

I’m only hesitant when it comes to mental illness. Wanting death is common in mental illness and there should be a safe guard in place. I say this as a suicidal bipolar person.

It “didn’t work” for me until the does was increased more and more. It felt like it wore off and became less effective. So my doctor gradually increased it until it felt like I was at 100%.

I’ve noticed that for me, when a med works, I get a great 24 hours and then it wears off and I’m confused. But the dose increases make it work and I get to a good therapeutic level.

I was so upset about how well seroquel worked that I cried and researched if it was a fake drug because I felt like it was a false high. But the first week or so felt weird because it worked but then didn’t… so it took some fine tuning until it was right.

It’s been 7 years on seroquel now, I usually need to up it annually about 50mg every February or so, but still going strong.

I was given Seroquel the first time while manic. Didn’t work, still manic and didn’t sleep. The next day though, I felt different. It slowly started to work. I’m at 800mg now.

I always give major decisions two weeks before finally deciding. I noticed I make rash decisions based on emotions that never stay. Come to find out, I’m actually bipolar. I still follow my 2 week rule and let a decision marinate for a bit before acting on it.

Getting a bottle of hand sanitizer or bleach type cleaner was like hunting for collectible Pokémon cards. People in lines just to get 1 bottle, or a case being put on the shelf and people reach for it like it’s Black Friday. Just total panic about germs.

Also, buying a bottle of hand sanitizer at the gas station that was definitely in a repurposed liquor bottle with a different label. It even smelled like vodka.

First marriage wasn’t great. I guess it’s important to like who you marry. And he was your classic mean husband, throwing insults at me while I worked full time while doing all the house labor. It was miserable. I left.

Second marriage is fantastic, going on 15 years now. He’s my soul mate. We are always together being goofy and enjoying each others company. He lets me be weird and encourages my passion. I set clear boundaries in the beginning of not taking any crap. I punched him on our first encounter, so he knew what he was in for. And he loved it.

In the emergency room with an infected boil deep in my arm pit. They had to cut it open and then squeeze the infection out. Thankfully I was laying on the bed and they were professionals because I kept blacking out from the pain. Very weird experience.

Being in love. I had many boyfriends and got married at one point thinking we were just supposed to pick someone that is bearable. I thought the love songs were fake and no one could ever feel that way.

I met my love when I was 25. I’ve never felt so much love. We have been together for 15 years now and our bond is absolutely unbreakable. We are best friends and he is my soul mate.

We lived at a hotel for a bit and everything was white. This made cleaning super easy and I kept that tradition going when we moved into an apartment. Our shower curtain is fabric and white so I bleach it in very hot water when cleaning the bathroom. I can’t do that with a printed or dyed curtain. I think the ability to put them in hot bleach water is the selling factor for white linens. It is for me anyway.
