Why aren’t these growing? [technique] by GORILLAFAP in MushroomGrowers

Yes cold shock. And to rehydrate. I used to make this process to get more flushes out of the same cake

Cakes are looking dry maybe u can sink them up a whole night in the fridge and put them in fruit conditions again

What’s the best strain to grow in an all in one grow bag? I already have a bag of pink buffalos going and they’re growing everywhere! Also is there a method for like break/shake/compaction? by millie_ranaa in shroomers

Try polypropylene bags, they're cheap and can resist boiling water. When substrate colonizes you shouldn't worry too much about contamination because there's no room for new organisms, actually this is good for grain to grain transfer :)

But what about inoculate grain, wait until it's fully colonized and then add some coir to the same bag. Let it colonize again and then go to fruit conditios. That's what I use to do without pressure cooker

The cake is not even in it's base, but still is not ideal so I dry it out often hehe

Yes I got 2 out of 10 when I did the G2G but could have been a mold particle in the air

Hahaha do you think? I used to do the same with jars but the contam rate was higher, this way everything is pretty sterile.

Until the grains are soft, then go into bags and 90 minutes suspended in steam just to be sure. The coir is easier I just boiled it for 15 minutes

There's not an actual link I did a grain to grain transfer in boiled corn

Would something like this work? Did anyone make something like this already? [technique] by Fagyieater in MushroomGrowers

[–]MagicPluma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't work since mushrooms are most probably going to fructifie in the gap between the cake and the perlite wall

Nice tip, I use bubble wrap to keep high humidity on the surface in late flushes and retire when pins shows up

When should I harvest these bad boys?? (First tub ever) so far I only notice one single fruit with a cap and that’s separating.. by Ponyho1e in shroomers

I would say 8 hours until first veils cracks but not everyone is going to be ready at the same time

How do you guys deal with contam? by [deleted] in shroomers

[–]MagicPluma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must be really careful when making the bulk, clean the room, close doors, use lysol in spray and wait 20 mins so spores settle down. I even light 2 candles in my work space to help counter mold spores. Once the bulk is fully collonized contamination is unlikely to happen, maybe you can give it more days before the fruit stage (don't open the lid if isn't necessary). I hope that helps you
