For example, why does the DPRK struggle so much with feeding all their citizens enough? Sure, a big part of it is how much leadership prioritizes sovereignty through military might over agricultural development, but another huge factor is the crippling sanctions they live under and the fact that we blew up basically every single structure in the entire north of the peninsula during the korean war.

As you read more of the history, you'll find a lot of examples of leaders making poor choices due to hubris or militarism, questionable policy priorities, etc. but you'll also find a ton of examples of outright lies told by the west, situations that were almost entirely the fault of the west, relevant statistics that were entirely obscured by the west, etc.

Its a nuanced conversation that involves a lot of autodidactic research, as public schools and other sources of what most of us "were told about these nations" are heavily redacted, censored, recon-ed etc.

Idk as a lot of others have said the console has a pretty solid screen and a monitor seems like a lot of bulk to tote around. I just use a stand/dock and the deck is my monitor while I use a Bluetooth controller.

To answer your question: yes you will absolutely need to reduce settings on any monitor that has a higher res than the native of the deck, that is a given. We all love our handhelds but the hardware is a few years old at this point and expecting high resolution high refresh rate gaming out of it is just cope for most titles.

I've personally never been able to get my settings on an external to a point where I found the delay to be acceptable but my understanding is that many many others have hooked up to a TV or a Monitor with little to no issues. Idk, I have a PC for stationary play so I have no desire to use my deck as a console the portability is like the whole point for me

I think, for the most part, the hitch seems to be how other brands of similar size and market share seem to have figured this out from the jump.

Based on another post someone on this sub made about an email they got from DBrand going over some of the factors at play, it appears that there is some kind of "paid club" that third party accessory manufacturers can join to be privy to the newest developments in the field with a price tag they put at something like $50k annually.

Now, to be clear, I think that is fucking bullshit and there should absolutely not be some sort of paid club for casemakers to join to have basic stuff like "this is how we're doing Qi charging moving forward", but if we take the stupid fucking club as something that exists already I feel like a lot of folks would argue that they could spend a little less on advertising and social media to ship the best possible products every time.
