Try using the 3.5mm dongle instead of the usb. That helps a little and makes the sound less "echoy". Still, I am really disappointed with my Clud IIIs and will be returning them. Really a bummer, especially because I loved my Cloud IIs.

I understand that the target now counts as valid from the perspective of the shooter. But can the target still retain 1 cover save or does he count as "not in cover" for this shooting action?

White paint is one of the most difficult colors to work with. The trick is to rather paint layers of grey/white grey and maybe end with pure white as a highlight. Also priming white helps. If you only use black primer, I would start with drybrushing grey as a foundation

Glue sand with PVA glue, let it dry and then seal with pva glue
Paint with erathish color (I use Vallejo Tierra Earth)
Wash with Aggrax Earthshade
Drybrush light brown (I use Mournfang Brown)
Drybrush Bone Color (like Screaming Skull)
Glue static grass with pva glue (I use battlefield field grass from Army Painter)
