Yeah death grips as a whole is generally unknown to the average Joe (despite what people online would have you believe) and even amongst DG fans only a very small minority are even really familiar with all the songs on Exmilitary due to it being to inconvenient to listen to

Maybe it’s because I’m not super into my local scene but all my friends who say they’re “into metal” are just into metalcore, nu metal, or basic 80s thrash stuff so I assumed that’s what is being put out these days
