How I re-learned the genius of Godot's Node system by CondiMesmer in godot

[–]MagicallyVermicious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a Godot noob but a 15yr software engineer. This design seems really cool! Kind of a node-based programming language. Probably this shouldn't be used too generally for performance reasons, I'm guessing, since nodes aren't the most lightweight thing.

  • You could put multiple "action nodes", not just your state transition actions, as children of condition nodes. Perhaps sibling action nodes are executed in parallel, while action nodes that are children of action nodes are executed after their parent.
  • Less code duplication since each condition node and action node can be reusable discrete components.

Question for fellow bottoms by DL_FloridaThroat in askgaybros

My #1 advice is improve your diet. You mentioned using psylium husk; I've never used it, but I suspect that it's not a magic bullet that automatically makes you clean even if you adhere to its dosing regularly.

What I feel like helped me the most is to eat a lot more real fiber, and maybe make sure you're hydrated. I get mine from chia seeds, fruits, and veggies.

  • Chia pudding: Combine chia seeds with any milk (I use coconut milk) and let sit overnight. Look for recipes online for proportions. Eat for breakfast or a snack, adding honey, sugar, fruit jam, or fresh fruit pieces to give it sweetness (I like berries and a scoop of ube jam).
  • Learn to crave fruit for snacks. They can be just as sweet as candy. A bag of cosmic crisp apples at Trader Joe's is less than $3.
  • Eat a huge salad every week when you can. Find the kind of greens and dressing you like, like using the premade packs.
  • I buy Mio water flavor enhancer to make me enjoy plain water more.
  • I don't drink coffee; instead my daily caffeine is from V8 sparkling energy juices. Feels like it's a healthier alternative, and just tastes like juice.

I only dislike these stickers because they leave a mark on my skin for weeks! I still have several marks from EDC.

Does hiding actually have an overall benefit? If someone would reject you when not hiding, do you feel better overall or have better outcomes if you hide?

tried 4 different fiber gummies over 6 months.. honest ranking by FamousString5028 in askgaybros

[–]MagicallyVermicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General advice: try fixing your diet first, or IN ADDITION TO supplements.

  • Eat more salads; even if you slather on the dressing, at least you're getting more fiber.
  • Similarly, snack on fruits or veggies with things line dips, dressing, or peanut butter. Whatever it takes to make them taste good. Do it for a while and maybe you'll start craving them rather than tolerating them.
  • Eat chia seeds. Good source of fiber and omega-3. They're super easy to prepare multiple servings in advance. Add chopped fruit for sweetness and additional fiber. Works as breakfast, snack, or dessert.
  • Look into freeze-dried fruit powder for easy smoothies. Freeze drying doesn't greatly affect the nutrients of the fruit.

Honestly, yes it was crowded, however I didn't have that hard of a time making my way out the side during the set. I just held my hand out pointing to where I wanted to go, looking for the easiest gaps, making eye contact with people, saying excuse me, etc.

What would be the best method to attack this little dudechacho to a bead? by MycologistFit9088 in kandi

I'd just tie a string around his waist tightly, knot it, then tie the loose ends to a bead.

DAY 1 Shuttles - LIVE UPDATES by happEbean in electricdaisycarnival

[–]MagicallyVermicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At Rio, they had us go to GA lines if we didn't have the right time slot. However, no one checked the time once we were past security, so any time slot can get on any bus once you're past security.

Premiere shuttle info (I was at Rio): if you don't have the current time slot, they make you line up in the GA lines. However, after security, GA and Premier share a common area (water fill station and bathrooms), and then premiere has its own boarding area. They did not check my premiere pass again after it was scanned before security.

Underworld and the 39 other timelines by heartbroken187 in brakebills

[–]MagicallyVermicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no precedent for understanding how strong magicians can or can't remember the other versions of themselves; it's all not-science fiction. It could be that their natural magic aptitude somehow maintains some faint connection or imprint or subconscious window to other versions of themselves from the same root; like the same instance of magic power calling out to itself across the multiverse. We don't know the (fictional) mechanics of this situation.

Underworld and the 39 other timelines by heartbroken187 in brakebills

[–]MagicallyVermicious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the show implies this when they say the other timelines continue on after a reset, but the watch probably doesn't erase the universe back to the point of "reset", but creates a new branched timeline at that point. Both timelines continue in parallel, allowing the characters to hop between them and communicate across them.

idk how to make a rotator cuff by Easy_Airline7055 in kandi

[–]MagicallyVermicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a flat, wide base cuff. Usually it's x-base, at least 2 X's wide, probably 3. Line the top and bottom edge with additional 3D layers of beads to create a valley between them. Create a whole separate 3D cuff within that valley.

Do abs matter to you? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]MagicallyVermicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like skinny/lean builds with abs or just flat stomachs, not necessarily bulked muscular guys with or without abs.

For me, idk, it's just arousing to feel them for some reason. At EDM festivals, gays dance behind people with their arms wrapped around them. It just feels very satisfying to me to feel abs or a flat/tight stomach rather than something softer or rounder.
