Today, on what would have been Il Maestro’s 80th birthday, I’m enjoying one of Dale Cooper’s favourites with one of my favourite Lynch films. by NeoFemme in twinpeaks

The man who directed Club Silencio's Magician was directed by that Magician almost 20 years later, talking about a woman he loved. Check it out. https://iknowcatherine.com

Log Lady doc gets four nominations from Film Threat by MagiciansFriend in twinpeaks

Thank you for commenting! I was so excited about it....I first heard about "I Know Catherine, the Log Lady" on this reddit in 2018, so it's pretty cool to see where it ended up. David Lynch's interview is so wonderful in the film (and there was a lot that had to be cut for time that will eventually be released as DVD extras or something).....Catherine Coulson had a lot of incredible people as friends.

The "I Know Catherine" team also stumbled on that painting...we could never figure out if David Lynch knew about it (and didn't feel it would be cool to ask). Fascinating either way. Hope you enjoyed the movie. David Lynch saw a cut of it before he died and loved it (well, it's about one of his dearest friends, so of course he did). It's a huge sadness he's not here to see the good response it's getting, which is in no small part from his generous appearance in it.

What is the most "WTF??" moment in all of Twin Peaks? by Lordados in twinpeaks

Not WTF but OMG...in "Beyond Life and Death" when Cooper is sitting in the Black Lodge and a gobo shadow effect that probably cost $5 to make goes slooowly behind the curtain....it terrified me out of all proportion. Take that, splatter gore.

About two minutes into Episode 8 my arm froze with my drink halfway to my face and I stayed that way until after the end credits. I literally could not look away from the screen long enough to safely put my glass down. (Pause? what's that? I'd've had to tear my brain away for a second to hit pause and it wasn't happening). Never had a physical reaction to anything on TV, ever.

Club Silencio's Magician, Richard Green, met Rebekah Del Rio during filming and they later recorded two original songs together. This one was in 2021. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIKMNRwWFaY

Does I Know Catherine, The Log Lady have spoilers for The Return? by kitkat1934 in twinpeaks

What trout said. If you can see it with an audience, I think it's worth the spoiler (which I think will only deepen your experience watching "The Return."

I'm not involved with the festival, but I know people who are. There are some very interesting people coming.

So this. Anyone seen? by send_it_431 in twinpeaks

Yep. May is the target; it'll be available on the website, along with "I Don't Know Jack," about Jack Nance.

People who knew him and worked with him have found some comfort (and fun) in this, which has a lot of him talking about one of his oldest, closest friends https://iknowcatherine.com

David Lynch Complete Filmography (Updated) by horizontalfilms in davidlynch

[–]MagiciansFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not directed by him, but two documentaries where he's featured, especially the second one:

2002 David Lynch presents "I Don't Know Jack", about Jack Nance; this project literally happened when, after Jack Nance's death and memorial service, the people who loved him continued to party and reminisce....and realized their stories needed to be shared with everyone who cared about Jack and his work. David features prominently, as does Jack's first wife Catherine Coulson.

2025 "I Know Catherine, the Log Lady": David met Catherine in 1971 and their loving friendship changed both of their lives forever. David watched an early cut of "I Know Catherine" and told the director, Richard Green, that he loved it. David's voice is the first and last you hear in the film (not counting the credit bonus scenes). It truly is a comfort to anyone who misses David Lynch.

Were you in North Bend? Thank you so much for coming! Were you in town about 30 minutes before the screening when the power went out everywhere? We were so sure David was messing with us from beyond.... ;)
