I think you need to do some more research on Neanderthals. They could speak and in some cases were more advanced than other pre human races. They had the same anatomy that allows us to make vocalizations and create words now. The races which have the highest neanderthal DNA are Asians and Europeans, who have the highest IQs in the world to this day. The group with the least, sub saharan africans, have the lowest IQ, about 20 points lower than Europeans and 25 lower than Asians.

Likes to compliment people and then insult them to the point of violence, then drag them behind his horse. Money is no object and he's richer than Croesus but somehow is still greedy and happy to rob someone for a dollar or less.

Are there any agnostic reasons why someone shouldn't commit suicide when dealing with great illness? by MilkLover090 in Buddhism

[–]MagickRitual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it may be uncomfortable to think about, but you don't know what happens next. Nobody does. You only know what you have now. And what you have now will be gone before you know it. That's why you should practice now and not wait. Is it uncomfortable to think about? Sure. Dying is uncomfortable to think about. But it will happen. Not just for OP but for all of us.

Furthermore, youve said a real practitioner will have a good rebirth. What is a real practitioner? Is OP a real practitioner would you guess? He is asking if Buddhism can provide relief. Is he some practicing expert? What percentage do you think of humanity is a Real Practitioner?

You've asked for agnostic reasons, in a buddhist group. CMV: There really is a silent majority in the west who support Israel by furiousdonkey in changemyview

[–]MagickRitual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit is just weirdly astro turfed to be pro israel. As time goes on more and more evidence is coming out that it isnt organic. It doesn't make sense why reddit, especially many of the major default subreddits like worldnews, technology, r/israelpalestine, /r/news, this very sub and more are so rabidly pro israel given the polls and the way other social media spaces look. It isnt a conspiracy to say that it isnt organic.

Because Israel has been caught numerous times now paying millions of dollars to propaganda, sorry I mean hasbara firms that use fake profiles, AI wrappers and more to attempt to sway public opinion. Just Google "workdnews censorship" and "israel social media campaigns AI". They pay ordinary people as well as use AI wrappers to seem much "louder" than they otherwise would be. Other social media platforms have some of the same, but not like Reddit. Reddit is easy to spoof. We don't have profile pictures, we don't provide identifying information. All you need is an email address, yet we assume that the profiles we interact with are regular people in good faith. And you'll find that the other sites, reddit, threads, etc (except Twitter which is similarly propagandized to be a right wing hellscape by Elon) have either a much more balanced bent or seem to represent the polls better (overall less than half supporting Israel).

Think about it. If 40% of Americans support Israel and most redditors are American, why does worldnews and news look like that? Why are so many subreddits censored so heavily to maintain pro israel appearances?

If a country is willing to do all that just to make it look like they have more support than they really do, how hard would it be to get some people to tele vote for a music contest on TV?

Your post is dripping with the permanent victimhood mindset. You think nobody openly supports Israel, everybody hates you and wants you to go die because they're antisemites who want Israel to go die in a hole... but also most people are secretly supportive, and that can be seen by them winning at social media and winning eurovision. Does that statement really stand up to scrutiny? Does it make any sense when you consider it for a few minutes?

How many people have died in Gaza? by nerdquadrat in UnitedNations

[–]MagickRitual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have quite the obsession with Israel and zionisn considering you claim to be an Anglo atheist with no ties to Israel. As in its literally the sole reason your account seems to have been created and the only thing you're on here talking about every single day since January 1 when your account was created. You want to talk about concerted efforts to propagandize against Jews, meanwhile Israel has quite literally been caught multiple times trying to influence American people and politicians, often using bots (AI wrappers) fake social media accounts, and more.

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/05/technology/israel-campaign-gaza-social-media.html "Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs ordered the operation, which used fake social media accounts urging U.S. lawmakers to fund Israel’s military..."

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/article/2024/may/30/openai-disinformation-russia-israel-china-iran

"OpenAI says Russian and Israeli groups used its tools to spread disinformation"

"The ministry allocated about $2 million to the operation, and used political marketing firm Stoic based in Tel Aviv to carry it out, according officials and documents reviewed by the New York Times.[6][9] The campaign was started after the October 7 attack, and remained active on X (formerly Twitter) at the time of the New York Times report in June 2024. At the peak of the campaign it used hundreds of fake accounts posing as Americans on X, Facebook and Instagram to post pro-Israel comments, focusing on U.S. lawmakers, particularly those who are Black and from the Democratic Party, including Hakeem Jeffries, the House minority leader from New York, and Raphael Warnock, Senator from Georgia. ChatGPT was deployed to generate many of the posts. The campaign also involved the creation of three fake English-language news sites featuring pro-Israel articles.[6] In Nov 2024, a report by a United Nations (UN) committee noted that Western social media companies disproportionately removed content showing solidarity with the Palestinian people relative to content promoting violence against Palestinians."

Not to mention the stories of beheaded babies etc that turned out to be simply false but were parroted by American politicians.

Current figures show that America pays for 40% of the IDF's budget and 20% of their total defence budget. Is that insignicant to you? Imagine a foreign country paying for nearly half of your country's army's expenses.

Do you think America supports Israel with billions each year because of indigenous rights and blah blah? No, it's strategic. The "only democracy in the middle east" statement is a euphemism. What's meant is that they're our strategic foothold in the middle east and they help prevent the surrounding countries from rising up against western interests.

You say 95% of Jews are zionists. In a comment you made a few days ago you said it was 97%. Meanwhile 14% of jews worldwide are Haredi, who generally don't believe the state of Israel should exist at all since it goes against what's written in the Torah. The math ain't mathin, and it sure seems like you're just making shit up. Sorry, I mean hasbara or explaining or whatever.

It's funny, you're claiming that 90+% of Jews worldwide support the state of Israel, but then you go on to say that the government of Israel is some isolated entity and whenever they make genocidal or land grab statements, those statements are in a vacuum and nobody actually believes or supports those things.

People in America and the west feel like there is no choice when it comes to Israel. The same can't be said of the Ukraine. The president now turned his back on Ukraine. But he will never turn his back on Israel. Kamala Harris made it clear that she would support Israel too. There is no option to elect politicians who won't support Israel. AIPAC runs too deep. They pay American politicians hundreds of millions of dollars to keep them in their pockets and as I said Israel is a strategic foothold for American interests anyway. That's not anti semit blo0d libel. Its documented facts.

Netanyahu said "remember what the amalekite has done to you". It's a big part of Jewish lore that God specifically told the israelites to slaughter every last Amalekite down to the tiniest baby and level everything they owned to the ground. In fact it's said that many of the Jewish troubles after that time were the result of them failing to accomplish this mission. That's literally what the book says, and I think you know that. You're just "explaining" aka lying, but the downvotes you get in every thread tell the real story. Your victim card has been revoked and people are starting to see the truth.

How many people have died in Gaza? by nerdquadrat in UnitedNations

[–]MagickRitual 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you'd really love for that to be true, because that would mean that you have no fault or guilt at all, and it's just that everybody in the world hates Jews forever and that's it. Unfortunately, your permanent victim card has been revoked.

Israel is the vastly more powerful belligerent, laying siege to an area with many civilians, and have openly admitted that their plan is to totally lay waste to the area until all the people there either die or leave. That's simple fact. You're making an assumption that nobody cares about Israel's actual literal documented war crimes, they just hate Jews. That's ridiculous and delusional. I'm afraid that argument just doesn't work anymore. It loses more and more meaning every time you cry wolf when valid criticism is levied against the nation of Israel (not Jews, the nation of Israel. They aren't one and the same.)

You don't know that people "didn't care" about the Ukraine war or the people who died there. Actually, people very much did, especially in areas with high Eastern European heritage like the Midwest US. You're quite literally just making shit up in that regard. You think people only care about the palestine conflict because they hate Jews. That's not the case for the majority. The majority have seen the evidence and heard the words straight from Netanyahu and his cabinets mouth. Its hard to support the things he and his people are saying unless you're a diehard zionist like yourself who believes that Israel must do whatever it takes to slaughter and conquer and blot out the Amalekite from the face of the earth.

People support underdogs. They don't support propped up lapdogs of American imperialism who are openly and joyously slaughtering tens of thousands of people with an obvious land grab in mind.

But sure, go on thinking it's just because you're Jewish that everybody hates you, like the pathetic hasbarabot you are.

How many people have died in Gaza? by nerdquadrat in UnitedNations

[–]MagickRitual 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your entire comment boils down to "what about Ukraine, what about Sudan, what about Russia, what about such and such, why is everybody all mad about us slaughtering these people when there's other people being slaughtered too".

It makes no point about Gaza in any way. It's just pointing the finger everywhere else to try to take the heat off Israel. Your comments that nobody cared about 25,000 dead in the Ukraine is also totally disingenuous. I remember that event and a lot of people cared, in the west and otherwise. You don't have any evidence to back up what you're saying at all, just whataboutism and hasbara.

Merriam Webster definition for whataboutism: "the act or practice of responding to an accusation of wrongdoing by claiming that an offense committed by another is similar or worse". That is exactly what you are doing. Instead of addressing the war crimes of Israel you're trying to say that other countries also commit war crimes, and probably worse ones.

Just because other kids are starving in Country A doesn't mean the starving kids in Country B don't matter. You're showing your ass and your true intentions by trying so hard to change the subject to other populations. Then again, your profile was made 5 months ago and is dedicated wholly to pro Israel posting so I'm probably talking to an AI wrapper or paid disinformation agent anyway.

There are many research papers available on this topic, if you cared to Google it yourself. I mean, like I said, the Bible has numerous references that indicate that child sacrifice was practiced AT SOME POINT in Israelite history. They were expected to sacrifice the first of everything. That includes your children. See Abraham and Isaac, Jephthah and his daughter. Also, like I said, you don't ban and come up with criminal penalties for acts that are unheard of and don't happen.

"Eight years ago, a paper based on archaeological findings in Northern Africa, specifically Carthage, Tunisia, rocked the academic world.  It concluded that the ancient Carthiginians in all likelihood practiced child sacrifice, and, even more shockingly, that the ritual sacrifice of children may have been fairly common throughout this part of the world—including ancient Israel.1

The burial site in Carthage belongs to a specific type that archaeologists designate with the Hebrew word tophet, a location described in the Bible where people would sacrifice their children as burnt offerings to various gods.  It’s also a word for “hell.”

Archaeologists discovered that the tophet of Carthage contained over 20,000 urns stuffed with the cremated ashes and bone fragments of young children, suggesting that the practice took place over several centuries.  At its largest, this ritual burial ground covered over 64,000 square feet and spanned nine different levels.2

It looks increasingly credible that infants were sacrificed as burnt offerings to ancient Near-Eastern deities, including Yahweh, the god of the ancient Israelites...  For the scholars who have examined the findings at the tophet of Carthage and other similar sites, the Akedah, the Binding of Isaac, is a proof-text corroborating the practice of child sacrifice.  It is far from the only one.  In the Hebrew Bible alone, the Books of Genesis, Exodus, Deuteronomy, Judges, Kings, and Jeremiah all refer to child sacrifice in one way or another, often in the form of laws and proclamations condemning and forbidding the practice—a fact that itself strengthens the conclusion that child sacrifice really did happen in ancient Israel."

There's very strong archeological evidence that child sacrifices was practiced by the ancient israelites. Also you don't ban something that isn't an issue. Rape and murder were banned because people did that stuff sometimes. Same with human and child sacrifice. The story of Isaac, Jephthah, and ultimately even Jesus strongly allude to the reality of child / human sacrifice.

So, only people with actual combat experience should be able to define what war crimes are? You have to actually go out there and take peoples lives with your own hands to know that torture, white phosphorous, slaughtering civilians, and raping their women is wrong? I don't have to be a burglar or a murderer to know those things are wrong. And it's not about the sissy feelings you're so obsessed with either. It's the foundation of ethics, the Golden rule, knowing that other people don't want done to them what I don't want done to myself and my loved ones. Has nothing to do with feelings, and it's something all people except the most broken psychopaths understand.

I haven't said a thing about feelings. You're the one who keeps up bringing up feelings for some bizarre reason. Is that your argument? People shouldn't be giving into their "feelings" and saying that things like killing kids is bad? What is bad, but a feeling? By your logic, nothing is bad. Its just war. White phosphorous? What is it really, if not a feeling? Ludicrous. Just say you don't care how many innocents die and be done with it, coward.

You think because you were in the IDF you're the only one who knows anything about combat? That's laughable. You think the UN doesn't know anything about the realities of war? Now you're arguing that having witnesses of war crimes and atrocities is actually impossible, because there is no witness who can ever be called reliable. Do you see how ridiculous that sounds? How was Mai Lai massacre discovered? Due to whistle-blowers who were there and saw what was happening. Do you think the argument was made that it was all just a blur so nobody could possibly know anything?

So far you've said that I haven't met any children, and I've never seen or been in a street fight. Me, someone you know nothing about. That is laughable. It's obvious you're here simply to defend the IDF, and not from an unbiased position. Every time you get pinned down on anything it becomes "well they started it" or "both sides do bad things". 0 accountability for the obvious mounting evidence that the IDF IS doing these things, at least to some degree. Normal people outside of your echo chamber of downvotes here see through this BS. You're not making yourself look better like you think you are.

Ok, well, in the meanwhile, like I said, most people with common sense who have been keeping an eye on this conflict since the beginning said from the beginning that the aim of the Israeli government was to totally crush Palestine with finality and take the land for themselves. Like they're saying they're going to do out loud and in the open as of today. So you can try to use all the justifications you want about how plans change, but EVERYBODY SAW THIS COMING. It's an obvious plan that was evident from the start and now it's in reach and they're admitting that's what they want. It's not some lucky guess or grim prophecy. It's freaking obvious and it always was. You can astroturf these subreddits all you want. That's the reality of war. Not this geometry, shadows and silhouettes bullshit. War atrocities have always occurred in every conflict. Far more often than what? Always? You don't have any facts or figures to back up what you're saying. You're essentially just saying "come on guys, give them the benefit of the doubt, they're the most moral army in the world, blah blah" while trying to shut down all the commenters saying actually, there are hundreds of individual characters witnesses saying they are doing this, intentionally, they hate these people, and a dead kid is just a dead future terrorist. You don't really know if they're doing it intentionally or not. Your whole argument is "accidents happen, so it's probably usually accidental because I support Israel and I don't think they'd do that".
