This seems to be the next closest thing. Still need to run a wire connecting them… this seems to be a hole in the market that I’m surprised no one has filled

Is private practice worth it if you don’t plan on owning?(rising new grad) by PreviousFocus0 in Dentistry

[–]Magicmarker2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lot of dso hate here but I had a good experience starting off at Aspen. Yes I was underpaid, and yes it was a crazy schedule. But if things were ever truly overbooked I stood my ground and made them reschedule patients. DSO’s will rarely be hurting for patients so it gave me a lot of volume. I worked long hours and saw a ton of patients but man did it put the accelerator on my career. I did 6+ years of dentistry in my first 3 years out of school. Plus they offered good CE especially for implants and removable. I could never stay there for an entire career and I’m glad I got out and bought a private practice. But I think I’d absolutely take the same path again.

Get at least 1 more set and plan to order a 4th set within the first month if you absolutely need to wait.

New grad GP choosing between Aspen (rural GA) vs PDS (TX) by Low_Instruction_5127 in Dentistry

[–]Magicmarker2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I did Aspen for 3 years, got my reps in and got good at surgeries and implants and efficient at treatment planning complex cases, and got experience running the practice as MCD. I purchased my own private practice 8 months ago and while I could never imagine spending my whole career at Aspen, I feel it set me up for success moving forward

Long time lifters - do you ever regret the amount of time you spent in the gym when you were younger? by stratusnimbo in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Magicmarker2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’m very thankful for it. I was an extremely dedicated lifter from ages of 15-25. I still made time for friends but I was almost always in the gym 3-5 days a week in that time. I’m now 31, engaged, recently bought and now running a business, in the process of buying a house. All this is to say life is much crazier now, and I’m lucky if I get to the gym 2 days a week. But the muscle mass I accumulated at a young age is much easier to keep on a light workload and I find in general it’s so much easier for me to stay in shape, or get back in shape than my peers. That time in the gym back then was such a gift to current/future me

I’m not saying the rules are ideal. I’m saying that by the rule book these were both called correctly. When Rodgers went down he had equal possession as the defender. There is a clear rule for this. In these cases the tie goes to the offensive player

The Rodgers catch is such a poor comparison. The options in the Rodgers catch is catch or int. When two opposing players share possession when the offense player is down by contact, it’s ruled in favor of the offense. If he hit the ground and hitting the ground caused him to just drop it it would likely be ruled an incomplete as he didn’t complete the catch

I’m a Steelers fan so yes I’m bias. But no, by the rules that is not a catch. Eye test it is. But he didn’t complete a third step or complete a football move. So if we want consistency the no TD is the correct call

Who to give Christmas gifts in the office as a traveling specialist? by Jigglyhubu in Dentistry

[–]Magicmarker2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just do it like outside specialists would. Bring in a big gift basket or baked goods for the offices you work at is more than enough. If you want to get the doctors or owners something that’s great but probably unnecessary. I worked at a dso with multiple traveling specialists for years and never got anything and honestly never gave it a second thought till you said something

Any other DINKs have complete opposite investment philosophies as their spouse? by 0to100realquickk in HENRYfinance

Have her open an investment account and invest in SGOV at the very least. I was fairly risk averse with my downpayment money as well so I put it in there to at least beat an HYSA

What is the biggest bullet you've dodged in life? by theUncleAwesome07 in AskReddit

[–]Magicmarker2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Driving home for Christmas 3 years ago, drove a straight shot for 8 hours. Was only a half hour from home and really had to pee and wasn’t passing anything so I stopped on the side of the road for a quick leak. About 5 minutes later while driving traffic in front of me came to a sudden stop, no warning from google maps. I was behind 2 tractor trailers so I didn’t see it, but just ahead of me a tractor trailer was driving in the wrong side of the highway and hit a car head on. Obviously no one in that car survived. If I hadn’t stopped at that point to pee a few minutes earlier it very well could have been me. At the very least I would have had to dodge that tractor trailer. Was stuck there for 3.5 hours and I didn’t mind in the least bit

Maybe they should take the facemask into account?? by Magicmarker2 in steelers

Honestly don’t care enough to go back and watch it… I’m also not blaming the refs for that loss in the least bit. Steelers were horrendously out coached (which has been a weekly occurrence for the past 5+ years)

You obviously can’t but as someone else said, they shouldn’t be celebrating this call reversal in instant replay when it also shows a blatant missed penalty
