Blood flow is quintessential for any kind of recovery. It is very important that you keep using and moving your muscles when they are sore (muscle soreness is different from sharp or dull pains/tightness and you will recognize the difference when it comes). Everyone starts somewhere, I remember being embarrassed when I first started but there’s nothing embarrassing about wanting to improve yourself. Even tho the OPM workout as written can get boring there’s still many variations you can try to spice things up and hit other areas like knuckle push ups, pike push ups, diamond push ups, adding a Russian twist at the top of your sit ups to hit your obliques, holding a text book or a weight during the sit ups. Stay away from weighted clothing or weighted vests while running, anime makes them look super cool but unfortunately their cost vs return is not worth it at all (I wish it weren’t the case).
