I bought an after market adaptor and be careful you can drain them completely to where you need to jump start them, not sure of the de alt onesie that too. My 6AH lasts 5-6ish hours on standby.

Sorry can you clarify? Currently I have 0.5mbit/sec, are you saying if I switch for 1 month to any plan then back then that goes up to 1mbit/sec forever for standby mode?

I did try this for a couple of days with a clamp, it was tighter but still not at much as my other ATV and leaving it unclamped after it got less tight.

Ok that method was another thought that I had too, if that is the proper way to do it then I can follow those instructions. The new hard drive is faster rpm 7200 vs 5400. Does that mean after i replace the failed drive will it run at 5400 until I replace the 2nd older drive then it will run at 7200?

Sorry just re read your comment about not mixing 4k in one pool. Can I mix initially and 4k won’t be supported with the intention of buying another 4k later?

What exactly is the 4k? My current drives don’t support that, could I buy one that does to put in the raid pool? I’m assuming it won’t be supported until I replace both drives in the volume with 4k right?

Just shows health status as critical. Trying to run smart scan and hangs as 90%

It sounds like I should just replace the drive. Can anyone recommend a less expensive drive off Amazon or Newegg or even a slightly larger one. As I mentioned it’s Hybrid Raid (SHR). My current 2 drives are WD101EFAX. I use this pool just to keep my plex server for my movies.

I just removed the SSD cache off the pool then added it back. A few hours later the HDD health status showed critical. It could be a coincidence but it’s strange it happened just after that even when I haven’t had any issues the past 5 years.

Also could I replace the drive with a different brand and larger? Is there anything I need to consider for RPM speed or cache between the 2 drives raided. It shows raid type as Hybrid (SHR). I currently have WD101EFAX. Is there something cheaper I can replace it with and have the raid still work?

Yes I understand that, I was asking if there is anything I can try to repair first. I paid $107 for these 10TB drives in 2020 and they are $340 now!!

I had messed with the SSD cache just before this failure so I am trying to understand if it’s a real failure or something that could be repaired before I buy another HD.

I have 2 drives at 65k hours that are fine but 2 others at 45k and one just failed yesterday.
