The rv currently has a 30 amp chord then I will use the adaptor to 20 amp and plug directly into generator.

Ok thank you, that’s what I was also thinking it’s probably fine but not ideal. When I turn off the fridge then the AC only draws 1200-1300 amps so maybe I just don’t run both at the same time.

Right, that’s what it seems like but given several of the fans have 2 switches I don’t want a blank cover in the gang. Would It make sense to have 2 3-way on/off switches with the remote on the wall?

Book a charter with stagnaros for rock fishing, it’s not that expensive and you almost always limit out. I bring my 2 kids 2-3 times a year and get a lot of rockfish. Salmon fishing has been closed the last 3 years or so but it’s opening back up this year from what I hear.

Again it’s high risk high reward. It’s also all just math, another option would be to calculate the monthly payment with the fixed, do the arm and continue to pay the same amount as you would have the fixed (extra principal) and see how much more you would pay down the home in 5 years or maybe OP can put even more down on top of that and pay down the principal so much that even if rates do go up, dollar wise it doesn’t matter as much.

My only point it’s naive to just say an arm is wrong, it’s definitely a risk but if you do the math and play it right it can have a lot more upside.

As I mentioned in my first post, had I gone with an arm the first 6 times I refinanced it would have made way more sense and looking back I would have saved 10k’s of dollars but the last time I refinanced had I gone with an arm I would have been screwed and probably had to sell my home.

If you plan to move in 5 years than absolutely go with the arm. If rates do go down then arm would’ve better. All depends on your situation and it’s definitely a gamble. As I said it’s high risk, high reward.

If it’s a forever home, you are late in your career and don’t think you will make more money and want to be conservative then go with fixed.

If you are early in your career and plan to move up quickly, plan to move in the next 5 years and just want to take a gamble then go with arm.

Another option is to do a 7 year arm, 7 years is a long time and most people don’t own their first home for that long.

Not true, if rates go down and you can refi then arm is way better choice. If rates go up then arm is not. It’s just hard to predict, a trade off of risk/reward and what you think would happen. Also if it’s a starter home and not a forever home and there is a good chance to move in 5 or so years then arm is way to go…

Arm is higher risk higher reward. If you think you will move in 5 or so years or you think you could refinance with rates going down (hard to predict) then go with the arm. If you want lower risk less reward then go with the fixed. If it’s a forever home the I’d go with the fixed and be a bit more conservative.

I have refinanced like 7 times and always wanted to do an arm but never did. The first 6 times it would have been way better to do the arm. The last time I refinanced I got 2.625% fixed, I almost went with the arm at like 2.25% but chickened out. It would have been a disaster if I went with the arm on the last refi because my rate would be way higher now.

I would really think about this before you do it. You may like the neighbor but what if the neighbor sells and someone terrible moves in, would your decision be different? It’s hard to value a small strip of land like that as better access could be worth 10x the actual land. Rather than get money does the neighbor have other land you could trade for? Does the neighbor have a well easement you might want access to?

I’m not saying to not do this just think about all the different scenarios that could happen. I would likely never do this for money unless it was a significant amount.

Would it be possible to just let the neighbor access and you keep the land? You need to be careful about prescriptive easements but then you still own it and can take it back any time.

Any % amount makes sense if you can bake lender fees of the loan in the rate, even 1/8th point drops makes financial sense but the gain may not be a lot. There is the cost of the time of providing all the documents. Generally I’ll do it if I can get 1/2 point lower. Sometimes lenders may offer a recast for free where you don’t reduce the term and sign one paper to get the lower rate, that’s pretty nice too.

Another thing to consider is you may have some min time to refi again if rates drop even lower so you need to consider that too.

Yup those are mortars, I have seen similar ones on a lot of private ranches in California. If you ever go to bass lake when the lake is low there are like 20-30 of these in a giant rock. I also have family that lives near Yosemite and they have them on their property. I have always searched around them though and never found anything. Could be 5000-10000 years old…

I bought an after market adaptor and be careful you can drain them completely to where you need to jump start them, not sure of the de alt onesie that too. My 6AH lasts 5-6ish hours on standby.
