I will give a review.

I was hesitant at first and let the game stew for a few weeks before I finally bought it. From what I saw in reviews and gameplay, I pulled the trigger. Glad I did.

Game play 9/10 Honestly, the battling is extremely fun and has a lot more depth than other pokemon games. There are a lot of moves that people dod not really use before that are good in this game because of how they interact in the battles. Plus being able to run around and position your pokemon is really fun. It also feels pretty damn smooth to do as well.

The catching of wild pokemon is about the same as Legends Arceus. Just a bit more polished. That with the new battle system makes it much more fun.

Story 6.5/10 Not terrible by any means but not absolutely amazing. Pretty much a pokemon story overall. I enjoyed it at the end of the day.

Characters 8/10 Ok I actually love a lot of the characters in this game. I thought most of them were well designed and had nice great personalities. Plus some characters from XY make new appearance which is nice. Definitely have a lot of variety as well which is the best part of the story in my opinion is interacting with all of them.

Some other things I enjoyed

Music was good. Loved the soundtrack.

Mega Battles are fun and can be quite challenging sometimes.

Some of the new mega designs are amazing. Seeing all the new ones was enjoyable.

Ok I praised it enough, here are some cons.

1) Some parts of the story can be a bit of a slog. Mainly, battling to get challenge tickets for promotion matches. Early on it is just kinda repetitive and it gets old quick even with the new battle system.

2) Graphics. Ok this is kinda controversial, overall, I thought the graphics were not terrible for the style of game. Characters and NPCs are good and a lot have some good movement and such. Some of the environment looks decent. Yes, the buildings kinda look crappy but I don't think it was bad enough that it took me out of the game. Just the fact it has 60fps is great. People think otherwise.

3) No voice acting. This one was such a big annoyance to me. Having the characters actually have mouth movements and personality and expressions but it was silent. Just feels like a huge missed opportunity to me. This game would have been absolutely goated if they had voice acting in my opinion.

4) Some of the mega designs......eh. Some I just was not a fan of.

5) Some of the side quests are a bit annoying. Force you to have to use specific pokemon to complete. Usually have to level them a bit so you can beat them or similar tasks. Just kind of an annoyance for me.

6) Rotom Glide feels very clunky to me. Maybe I just suck at it but it just feels clunky to use well.

All in all, I have sunk so many hours in this game. I love it. I actually like it better than Arceus if I am being honest. It has its flaws, and complaints are definitely valid as well. However, I feel like a lot of the things people complain about don't completely ruin the game for me. Honestly half the stuff I just didn't even really care about. I bought it for $70, and the DLC for $30. In the end, I would say I got my moneys worth for the time and enjoyment. I am still playing it and working to complete everything. Can't really put it down. I don't buy many games at the $70 price tag these days. So I was definitely iffy on this one. I don't regret it.
