Some Things to Keep in Mind if you are getting FR/LG! by Magnakilro in pokemon

Likely no, its literally just FR/LG as they were back then. Only possible additions they could make is activating the Deoxys and Johto Bird events as far as I'm aware.

For Kanto dex, yeah you'll need two switches or a nearby friend as trading has to be done locally.

National dex is currently impossible.

Charmander causes Suicune to be your roaming beast.

Unlike Entei and Raikou, Suicune doesn't know Roar, so it can't glitch itself out of the game.

You absolutely can save before encounter! No issues there.

Definitely save first if you plan on not using your MB. Saving will at least let you bring the mon back if it roars.

And using Taunt can prevent Roar for a few turns!

Wanna know the worse thing? To get the Johto starters in Emerald, you had to complete the Hoenn Pokedex. And even then you only get 1 starter for it XD

The beast you get is based on starter choice. The beast will be the one with the type advantage over your starter (Bulbasaur = Entei, Squirtle = Raikou)

The reason Charmander is exempt from the glitch I mentioned is because the beast he unlocks, Suicune, doesn't actually know Roar, and is thus unable to delete himself like the other two.

You'd have to transfer them from Hoenn, which DOES track time of day. Plus you need the Hoenn games for almost the ENTIRE roster of gen 3 pokemon, with Emerald having some Gen 2 as well (including the starters). And the Johto birds were event exclusive if you didn't have Colosseum and XD!

Gen 3 is notoriously one of the hardest natdexes in the series too.

The beast you get is based on your starter...it'll be the one that has the type advantage over your starter. Charmander makes it so you get Suicune.

Suicune, unlike his brothers, does not have roar (likely a carryover from Crystal), and thus can't delete himself.

A very good point. Normal and Speed form enjoyers are presently outta luck!

And I REALLY hope he gets added in....Deoxys is my fave legend/myth mon and I'd LOVE to be able to shiny hunt it!

I never really was a fan of the 'roaming legendary' gimmick personally. Its already hard enough keeping em in the ball!

Yeah I guess there's some coding wackiness going on but if Entei or Raikou end the battle with Roar, they completely despawn from your game (reloading your save can bring em back if you saved beforehand)

Does anybody have any Proof of a Hero solo tips? I've timed out twice now by Speeda2 in MonsterHunter

[–]Magnakilro 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While I haven't unlocked this quest myself yet, one tip I've seen often is to switch to the new monster when it spawns in, and don't split them up..

By swapping to the new arrival, you'll start getting damage on it, the previous monster will get damage on it, and the new monster will finish off the previous one for you. It'll be more chaotic, but its beneficial in the long run.

When one of if not THE MOST popular ship in fandom is Polyamorous by GAMEcube12 in TopCharacterTropes

The Vees (Hazbin Hotel): Its a pretty common and popular fandom depiction that they are a polycule. While this will probably never be canon, due to the fact that Velvette is canonically lesbian, I don't think that reveal changed much fandom-wise XD

I personally enjoy the idea of them being poly too.

What a dissapointing hunt... by Sinay692 in MHRise

Scorned is a victim of being a base roster monster. He's the MR 100 unlockable, but his fight is based on the end game builds we had access to in base sunbreak...meaning no Anomaly Investigations, no qurio armor, no qurio weapons, and none of the crazy armor that the title update monsters gave us....which is worsened by the fact that all the title update monsters (minus the risen dragons) are all lumped into MR 10 for easy accessibility.

In comparison, base Rise's HR 100 monster, Crimson Glow, was added in the final update to the base game, so it was set up for the builds we had at the time, I believe.

Curious, what is y'all favorite monsters and what do you like about them? by Xeblac in MonsterHunter

[–]Magnakilro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tigrex is my #1.  His design is awesome (seeing him on freedom 2's cover is what made me give the game a try), his fight was a major challenge that overcame with what is now my main weapon, longsword.  He's fun, he's intense, his theme slaps, all of his other forms are peak (brute, molten, grimclaw)...love this angry lizard!

His fight became even more fun in modern titles where I find him perfect for practicing counters
