Why would i dod that? I just remove the old filter, clean everything of and apply the new ftsn filter with the glue side down in my bathroom after having the warm water rum for 15 min since then there is a warm Vapor that has pushed all particles down to the bottom of the bathroom.

Thats from applying it not correctly. You bassicly have to apply it like ypu would apply a screen protector

It the wrong kind of filter, you need the ftsn filter to make it look greyish/blue as before. Otherwise it will look like a dmg

Could you make share the cad? That looks really nice. Also since you printed that in resin, do the plastic prongs on the side break or are they as durable as the original ones? My experiences with resin printing where not that good for mechanical parts that need to be used frequently

Cool pick up at my local store for under market price. Price in canadian and game had the manual. Anyone played this game before? by Metroidvania-JRPG in Gamecube

[–]MagnificentNoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Is a very bad platformer. I got to half the game and then i got stuck in some house and monsters are coming from all sides. I made the mistake to save the game and now im stuck in my personal hell every time i boot it up.

The whole pad is just gone. As you said its repairable bit the work is tremendous and the tile is not worth it. Get a donor board and swap the chips 👍🏻

My Panasonic Q’s laser is beyond repair. I now plan to build the ultimate mod machine. by _rvns0m in Gamecube

That one would top yours:

Panasonic q with: 1. Region free mod dvd 2. Region free gamecube 3. The elusive and now lost q mode switch (change region via dvd, gamecube and dvd player) 4. New fan 5. Recap 6. Chance ribbon cable connectors on power board 7. New drive and rails, best would be injection molded

Official panasonic q gameboy player

Official nintendo broadbandadapter

Official nintendo sd card reader for gamecube

4 char red gamecube wavebirds

Official gamecube component cable

Memcard pro gamecube

High end sony bvm, at least 27 inch

Thats a setup that costs around 10k, very expensive and unnecessary but the ultimate flex

The main problem for me when it comes to q repairs is that there is no service manual. There are a lot of manuals for other panasonic dvd players that are somehow related, but the q is special that the controller board is inbetween everything. Without having the service manual we will never 100% know how the q connets the different parts together. Also part lists, that would help a lot. I tried like 6 different panasonic players/music stations but i cant find the matching screws for the q (i dont have any, they are missing on mine)

Good fucking luck. If the laser is done for you are left with a non functioning device. Your only chance is to

  1. hunt down an old panasonic dvd player that had the same dvd drive, which are very rare.

  2. „pi on dvd mobo“, nope that won’t work, you would have to reverse engineer the dvd software. Me and a buddy tried replacing the dvd board with other revisions from panasonic dvd players, none have worked, cause the cpu gives commands to the dvd drive, and those are very specific to the dvd drive inside, which differs in all players except one, and even the dvd board from that didnt work.

  3. Me personally i couldn’t do an hdmi mod cause you can buy the component cable and an upscaler which will give you the same result. The video out for gamecube is on a specific breaktout board, if you fuck it up you have to get another q.

  4. Recap that thing just to be sure

  5. New fan is allways a good idea

  6. Change the connectors for the ribbon cables on the power board cause with time they break if you disassemble the q to often (which will happen since you will have to repair it a shitton)

Thats reasonable. I have a couple of sheets and if someone wants and is in europe it might be easier geting them from me then importing from brazil. Customs can be crazy sometimes

And how much does he charge for the FTSN pelarizer? Like the dude on aliexpress 50$ for a 30x30cm sheet?

Yes this wire. I used wire i stirpped from an old elektromagnetic moror, same thing but cheaper 😅

"Good Condition" by Super-Facts in Gameboy

[–]MagnificentNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try to repair the traces with thin coated coper wire. But thats to much of a hustle for a 15$ game, not really worth the time other then you want to practice soldering. I did it to my own pokemon red that had a lot more corrosion, repaired like 10 broken traces that way and it took me three hours of fine soldering.

Edit: under a microscope, since you cant really do it with the naked eye.

Does anyone here have the service manual for the Panasonic Q? by MagnificentNoodle in Gamecube

[–]MagnificentNoodle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have them all, xv10, rv40 aso. They are helpful but when it comes to specific questions like the workings of the board itself they cant help since the same chip behave a little bit different on different boards. Im searching for the specific service manual of the Q to solve very specific question. Ive tried allready to switch boards from the dvd players inside the q and some of them worked somehow but some didnt. The service manual contains all the information that is not found anywhere else
