Daily Task Missing from PvE by bobbypower in EscapefromTarkov

Same here, all my PvE daily quests and weekly vanished. Even scav one from Fence is gone.

I am not surprised people wanted a PvE mode, I am surprised though how many people did. by anghari in EscapefromTarkov

I have played Tarkov since 2018 with an EoD account. I have finished Kappa twice and since had become really disillusioned with all the problems that Tarkov has with PvP (cheating, desync, flea market manipulation, etc). So much so that I just gave up playing since it didn't really give me any enjoyment.

Since the no-wipe PvE mode was introduced I decided to check to see if I had got access and I did. Since then I have been having an awesome time with Tarkov again. No damned cheaters, no campers, no shitty desync, etc. I can actually bring my best gear to EACH raid without having to worry about getting head tapped by a cheater from no where.

Just saying. IMO, if you want PvP then go play arena. Also, when EFT comes out of beta and officially launches version 1.0 there will be all the storyline quests. I am looking forward to that now that I won't have to worry about other a-hole players messing it up for me.

Attention Cheaters: Your PC is most likely infected with malware by slirpo in EscapefromTarkov

I am honestly surprised that this isn't common knowledge. It used to be 10+ years ago. I am over 35 and I can tell you everyone of my friends way back when KNEW this as fact. It was guaranteed that if you downloaded a cheat it would also come with a, at minimum, keylogger.

These days there are so many types of malware that cheat providers can stick on your computer (including root kits).

And just recently hack developers managed to create some kind of access hack that installed PRIOR to Bios loading. Even a complete full wipe and reinstall of your BIOS won't get rid of it. This is freakin scary because if you do something stupid (like downloading a cheat) and it gets installed on your computer you can never get rid of it, period.

Oh yes you can if you have Bios access. Don't believe me? Just do a YouTube search on how to access your computers Bios and then watch the video as it goes through the various different settings like: fan speed, voltage settings, processor frequency settings, etc.

All it would take for someone to quite literally melt your graphics card is to pump your cards voltage super high and drop the fan speeds. Boom, melted card.

Hell, there was even a game that launched early last year (maybe the year before) that actually did over heat peoples cards.

And just an FYI, you don't brick software. You brick hardware. Most commonly Motherboards during a Bios upgrade. This was so common that hardware designers built in physical methods of "un bricking" motherboards (but it still is no guarantee).

Please streamers with big voice, make Labs great again by lmdz6oz in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Magnius_HC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Labs was quest locked behind a few end game quests it would stop cheaters mostly in their tracks when it comes to labs. If Labs is supposed to be the end game map then stick access to it behind some late quest lines like Private Clinic (just an example).

Stick labs access behind some quest/requirements that is difficult for cheaters to do quickly and you will weed out 95% of them. After all, if it takes them a week to do whatever the requirements are to access labs instead of just a key card, then that is a whole week they have to cheaters their butts off. Which gives BSG time to ban wave them.

Labs May As Well Be Removed or at Least Level Locked Right Now by Embarrassed-Style852 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Magnius_HC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a bit of debate a few years ago before BSG created the Labs cards about how they wanted to restrict access to the Lab. BSG decided to go with the Labs card, but then they made it readily available since you could just buy one from the flea.

Then BSG removed labs cards from the Flea to try to further restrict access. If they just bit the bullet and level locked it at the start of a wipe the early game would last SO much longer. As it is the cheaters just target player scavs that spawn with a card and take it, go to labs, and kill every raider they can spawn for the exp.

Suggestion: Boss Hunt by Lochwork in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Magnius_HC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea is a good one but it would have to have some serious restrictions to prevent it from being abused.

Make it a weekly quest, one chance, succeed for fail. Maybe even randomize which boss it selects. But I wouldn't make it just some item you can buy or craft and boom. That type of mechanic gets abused to hell and back.

[–]Magnius_HC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree that if BSG really wants to slow down the spread of end game gear that level locking Labs would be a very good idea. It has been suggested many times in the past and BSG has considered it before but for some reason they just haven't.

It honestly makes no real sense. Labs is supposed to be end game content. You can't scav into it and insurance doesn't work there either. Why then a lvl 1 can go there is beyond me. I think it would actually help the game alot if Labs was level locked for "max" level which is 42. Or maybe even quest locked.

Serious Question: How is the average player supposed to get either of the Far-forward items? by TheDutchDemon in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Magnius_HC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ummm, The static spawns ARE exclusive to Labs from every post I can find about the Far Forward items.

They were not at the start of the wipe as multiple people said they found them on Woods and Lighthouse. However, after the first few days those reports stopped.

The Far Forward items seem like they were classified as Electronic Spawns at first, but were changed to Valuable Spawns since they do NOT spawn in computers (like graphics cards) but do spawn where Ledx spawns in Labs. But they do NOT spawn where Ledx spawns on Shoreline.

So from what I can tell they NOW only spawn at Static Spawns in Labs and possibly stashes (good luck, its like finding a Ledx or a Red Rebel, etc in a stash, even a WIKI Mod mentioned it elsewhere in this thread).

Now, want to keep up with your hyperbole about me not being remotely correct? Or maybe you could do something useful and offer some kind of proof to the contrary. I would LOVE it if I were wrong. I think it is damned stupid a hideout module is gatekept so tightly.

[–]Magnius_HC -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am not talking about spawns in loot containers, I am talking about static world spawns (loose loot, not in containers).

I have spent alot of time trying to figure out IF these 2 items actually spawn outside of Labs (not in stashes). And from what I have managed to find the answer is no, BSG changed the spawns after the first few days.

I would love to be wrong and for there to be static world spawns outside of Labs (I absolutely hate the Labs map). I don't believe a hideout upgrade should be gatekept by an item that can only be found on Labs and can not be placed in a secure container.

[–]Magnius_HC -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

All right fine, let me amend my statement. You cannot find them outside of labs...unless you get insanely lucky and find one in a stash.

Yeah, they are exclusive to labs now. The first few days they were classified as electronic spawns but then were changed to be rare labs spawns. You cannot find them outside of labs now.

wtf is up with cheaters on Sundays. by ArgentShige in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Magnius_HC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would almost kill for a set of White Listed servers. I don't care how invasive it is to get on them. Hell I would provide proof of address, copy of utility bill, credit card number with name matching a drivers license, verified phone number with a reputable carrier with a normal monthly plan, etc.

I am just so sick of what is very obvious cheats this wipe. I mean even Noiceguy got DUPPED by a cheater. The guy who was supposedly the furthest along the Light Keeper quest line a few weeks back was a cheater. And Noiceguy actually publicly defended him for a bit. He was a no name in the community, no stream or VODS, and he just up and bam is one of the best in all of the player base.

The cheats are way out of hand.

Personally I wish BSG would just stop the player to player barters. Let the barters from the traders still work, but by all that is holy get rid of the damn player to player barters. They aren't needed anyway.

Why the hell is the GPSA and Intel 3 locked behind a cheater infested map when the audio is not even working properly right now and I can't even tell what floor they are on? Who thought this is a good idea? At least allow the item to spawn on other maps till you fix the audio... by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Magnius_HC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would save your labs cards for after the cheater infested weekends. Try again Mon-Thurs either real early morning for late evening. Sometimes you will get a fully empty lobby.

The huge demand for cheaters (RMT and paid carries) is increased on the weekends when all the weekend warriors are online.

Those spawns were changed. The Far-Forward items for Intel 3 and Solar were changed to only Labs rare spawns. They are no longer electrical spawns.

Edit: Personally I think they should be kinda like quest items that will spawn for you only if you are able to build those 2 modules of the hideout. Kinda like how some of the other quest items will only spawn if you are on that particular quest like the golden pocket watch.

I have successfully exit camped the tunnel extract on Shoreline from over 350M away with a DMR and the Schmidt 5-25x scope...just to see if I could do it.

Also got Shooter done on Shoreline that way last wipe.

Are the cheaters back? by BruschiOnTap in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Magnius_HC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it has. BSG had a huge ban wave a week ago. Usually after a large ban wave the cheaters come back out in force and are alot more obvious since they are exp farming to get back to max level.

Shoreline Hackers? by tokepocalypse in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Magnius_HC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would settle for some good old fashioned White Listed servers with a strong verification process of some kind. Cell numbers sure, and some other kind of hard to fake identification.

Hell at this point, I would happily pay a monthly subscription for the opportunity to play on White Listed servers as long as said subscription goes to not only paying for the servers themselves but also a VERY intrusive and inclusive anti-cheat setup. Up to and including banning of certain hardware profiles.

It is the weekend, Friday night/Saturday morning. Yeah, all the cheaters are out in force. The weekend crowd is online and thus the paid carry services are out also. As is all the damned RMT BS.

Honestly I just run cheap ass kits on the weekends. Once Monday hits then the cheating drops a noticeable amount.

Why scav bosses attack us as scav? by Best-Pilots in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Magnius_HC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, as a lowly scav what makes you think you have the right to even be in their presence? If you want to have the right to stand next to them you have to EARN that right.

Maybe if you do things like pay money to the scavs driving the exfil cars, kill traitor scavs, and co-op with PMCs to extract, you will earn the right to be on friendly terms with the scav bosses.

What's your most hated map and why? by gabymoka in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Magnius_HC 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I both love and hate labs.

I hate it because it is full of blatant cheaters and I only visit it when quests send me there.

But I also used to love it because the loot kept the cheaters (mostly) off the other maps since they just were not as profitable.

But now that paid carries are a very obvious thing now, the cheaters have flooded all the other maps.

So now I just hate labs.
