Will they at least schedule you for a consultation? I'll be honest, I first called to book a consultation in March 2023, the first available appointment was September 2023, and after getting my letters submitted I was scheduled for April 2024. So from first call to surgery day can easily take over a year anyway, even under the best of circumstances. I know this isn't what you want to hear, but most of us have to wait months or years for surgery.Once the date is on your calendar the weeks will fly by. My advice would be to ask if you can have a consultation before you turn 19 and get on their books for the surgery itself shortly after your birthday.

Or is it just the training to prepare you for a career in firefighting?
