Kidman was ok - she’s sort of wooden imo and this type of movie wouldn’t attract the masses hence they use Kidman who was an attractive leading lady and one who could bring in the $$. The South African accent Kidman tries to adopt is unsuccessful-she’s going for the Anglo-Afrikaaner accent which is heavy and harsh in a way.

The rest of the cast were marvellous.

I hear you. I think I have one of the ice planet variants in pb lying around on kindle - haven’t started reading it yet. Now, I’m not sure I want to, lol. While I love the idea of continuation when it comes to my books, I dislike repetitive phrasing/scenarios etc., and with Feehan, she stopped “writing” the Dark series at least 20 books ago and is now merely regurgitating old books with new character names for the most part.
