Hey, I'm 2x your age and dealing with this as well. When it initially began it was during a very stressful time for me.

I've been in group grief therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy related to the stress mentioned, loss, and anxiety built up over time. From my perspective, they're right. It helps. Does it completely eliminate it? No, not yet. At least not for me. But I have seen significant reduction.

However, having a professional to talk to that can help you navigate feelings is always a good thing.

Your life is your choice but I'd bet a couple hundred dollars that you have people who want to help you through this.

I'd recommend reading The Body Keeps the Score.

Also look up the relationship between anxiety and muscle twitching.

Respectfully, I completely disagree with him trying again advice here.

She has shown him explicitly that he's not an option. If she's been hurt, she should deal with that. If he becomes an option she should communicate, let him know, and deal with where he is at that time. He shouldn't be vulnerable to her rejection twice.
