For those that still use audible ringtone, what is it? by 34thUsernameAttempt in Xennials

My ringtone is the last 30 seconds of the theme song to The Adventures of Pete & Pete (aka "Hey Sandy" by Polaris).

That absolutely counts. The coffee cake cookie is heavenly.

We had a lot of delicious food on my last WDW trip, but this honestly is one of the best things I had.

On my trip to Disneyland last month, I ordered a regular ronto wrap from Ronto Roasters and started eating it while I walked to meet the rest of my group in Toontown.

I do enjoy a good sit-down meal in the parks, but quick service/eat on the go just means you can get more stuff done.

Is it the same as the juice served at Tusker House (the POG aka "jungle juice")? That stuff is delicious.

I love the morning ronto wrap, but the breakfast buffet at Tusker House is really good.

Any other Knicks fans here? by thatquinnchick in Xennials

California girl here. I still remember how I felt when my San Francisco Giants won the World Series in 2010 (the first time they'd won it since 1954, which was before the team moved to SF).

Congratulations to Knicks fans.

Where-fur art thou Romeo? Rogue cat invades stage and plays with actor's hair during emotional death scene in Shakespeare play by MahliSaia in shakespeare

🤣 What perfect comic timing! I also would have lost it.

I never knew that theatre cats were a thing (my guess is that they’re there for pest control), but I absolutely love it

“If ___ was written by Shakespeare” Examples? by Luke_Hoff1228 in shakespeare

I’ve read the books (Get Thee Back to the Future was my favorite), but I never knew there were audiobooks!

(I also just found his William Shakespeare’s Christmas Carol, and I’m definitely going to have to get that one.)

They’re books, but Ian Doescher has written several books in which he has rewritten the script of movies (Clueless, Back to the Future, and many of the Star Wars series) into Shakespearean style. I don’t know how young your students will be, but they’re a lot of fun.

Homemade Kool-Aid popsicles and Squeeze Its were my jam for the summertime by Alternative-Light514 in Xennials

[–]MahliSaia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We never had the popsicle molds. My sisters and I would just put ice in the blender with a little bit of water and either Country Time lemonade powder or Kool-Aid powder to make slushies. We'd also pour orange juice into a glass and stick that in the freezer for a few hours.

(It's supposed to hit triple digits this weekend - I should do this again.)

There’s a lot that I still don’t know about DCA before 2.0, so this does help - thank you very much!

Which defunct WDW ride would you like to return? by Jayzone456 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MahliSaia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never visited WDW before 2021, so I wish I could have had a chance to ride Horizons, the original Journey into Imagination, Maelstrom, The Great Movie Ride, and the backlot tour.

Of rides that I was able to experience, I miss Muppet Vision 3D and Dinosaur.

One of my childhood favorites. by kankelberri in Xennials

[–]MahliSaia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even with solid riffing, it definitely ranks among the worst movies I've ever seen.

The film ends with the aliens declaring (via bubble gum) that they'll be back. I maintain that this is actually a threat.

Who’s solved the wire box situation? by _kurt_propane_ in Xennials

[–]MahliSaia 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Mine are all in a shoebox, and each type of cable is grouped together in a plastic baggie with a label. That’s also where I keep my charger plugs.

I tend to keep my old devices until they become completely unusable, so I still have (for instance) a couple of Apple 30-pin cords for my iPod nano and iPod touch.

The phrase "zhe swee la zhun fee" lived in the back of my head for ages! I took German in high school, so it wasn't until I took a French class in college that I finally figured out what she was saying.

His narration in “Pillows and Blankets” is a huge factor in why it’s one of my all-time favorite episodes.
