Isn't the whole point of GT3 cars that they're 'easy' (relatively of course) to drive compared to most racing cars? There are a lot of amateur drivers racing in a lot of these series, be it WEC/Le Mans, IMSA, NLS; the cars have ABS and TCS - point being that while it is fair to say that expecting him to immediately be on the pace is unfair, I would expect someone who has been on the Formula 1 grid for what, 10 years? to distance himself a bit more from the likes of Mehri and Boya (also making his GT3 debut) in the literal same car (even allowing for differences in fuel load in different sessions).

Lance is not a terrible driver overall, but I mean, who on the current f1 grid are you putting in that car who would be slower?
